For everyone who is familiar with Skydrive, Microsoft has just released their official app for both Windows Phone and iOS. Sorry but no love for Android yet.
Check the blog here: SkyDrive App for Windows Phone and iOS
According to windowsteamblog, both versions have the same functionality. Well almost, since you can't edit Office Docs in iOS whereas you can do it with Windows Phone with the built in Office apps. Check out the videos here:
Windows Phone 7: 10 Free Apps You Need Right Now
- Office Mobile 2010
One app that you'll exclusively get on Windows Phone 7 is Office Mobile 2010. Office Mobile is a free app (requires a sign-in) that comes with the phone — you don't have to go download it from Marketplace. You can view and edit Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote docs with all the essential tools at your disposal. Office Mobile also includes SharePoint Workspace, which allows you to view, edit and download documents stored on your company's SharePoint server.
The official Twitter app for Windows Phone 7 uses the WP7 interface to its full advantage to improve the user experience. It includes all the same features as Twitter apps from other mobile platforms — Timeline, Mentions, Messages, Retweets, Search, Top Tweets, Trending Topics, Lists, Real-Time Search — but is more intuitively laid out with a more immediate, side swipe-happy interface. Example: key features like Timeline, Mention, Messages and Lists scroll across the top, whereas with the Android Twitter app you must first menu out, then tap a Home button to get to a screen of options.
Windows Phone 7 offers Facebook integration right out of the box with its People Hub. But that is merely Facebook information being pulled into the WP7 interface. The official Facebook app on WP7 offers the true Facebook experience. It's a simple-to-navigate app with a main screen that lists all the familiar Facebook pages such as messages, news feed, profile, photos, places, friends etc., with additional screens for "top news" (equivalent of news feed), recently posted photos, events like parties and friends' birthdays, and notifications.
Accesible na ba Windows Marketplace sa Philippines? Searched and found this article dated July 25, 2011 hind pa : http://technoodling.net/windows-mark...ines-included/
Dito rin wala pang Philippines : http://www.microsoft.com/windowsphone/en-GB/market.aspx
Is there a way to access the marketplace from the Philippines? Pasensya na sa tanong I have zero windows phone experience.
^^ Oo nga no i realized di ko pala alam kung available na ang marketplace dito. Before i will buy my own Windows Phone, kelan kaya magiging available dito? And can you recommend a budget windows phone. nasa 20K ang budget ko.

Nokia Windows Phone and Symbian free app: Kik Messenger review
By Alex Bentley on December 16, 2011
If you want to enjoy free texts on your Nokia Windows Phone or Symbian device, then Kik Messenger is the app for you. With its great interface and easy to use features, it makes the perfect compliment to traditional SMS texting on your Nokia Lumia 800 or all other Nokia smartphones.
Kik Messenger works by sending your message via your smartphone’s data allowance, saving you the cost of sending a traditional SMS or MMS test message. And since the app itself is also completely free and a pleasure to use, there’s no reason not to give it a try on your Nokia smartphone.
We tested Kik Messenger on the Nokia Lumia 800 and downloading the app via the Windows Phone Marketplace is quick and easy, thanks to its tiny 1MB download. Once installed on your Nokia Windows Phone, you just have to log into your existing Kik account or create a new one, to start messaging your friends.
Creating a new Kik account is am easy process, made all the more simple by the Nokia Lumia 800’s great onscreen keyboard. You just type in your name, email and preferred username and password, and Kik Messenger quickly checks whether the details are valid, before setting up your new Kik account.
As soon as your account is set up on your Nokia Windows Phone, you are prompted to import all of your existing Kik contacts into the app. If you don’t have any contacts yet, though, you can easily add new contacts to the app on your Nokia Lumia 800 later via the easy to use Kik Messenger interface.
To add a new contact to Kik Messenger, you just swipe left or right from the main interface and then tap the Add Contact button. You can then either enter their username directly, if you already know it, or you can search all existing Kik contacts by username to find people you know and add friends to your list.
Once you have a contact or two in your Kik Contacts list, you can then start messaging them for free. From the main Kik Messenger screen you just tap the Compose button and then tap to choose whom you want to contact from your Contacts list. You can then start typing away to send them a free message.
When you’re composing a message, Kik Messenger acts far more like an IM Client than a standard SMS text creator. You can easily choose from a range of 18 full colour emoticons, to add character to your message and attaching a photo to your message is just as simple, thanks to the easy to use interface.
Once your message is ready to be sent, you just tap the Send button and away it goes. And as soon as your contact has read the message, you will see it marked as read on your screen and if they start typing a new message back to you, you will also see a notification that they have started typing.
And if you want greater control over who can or cannot contact you, Kik Messenger makes that easy too. With a comprehensive Settings tap, you can easily block Kik users from contacting you, while also customising your Kik interface and operations to tweak the app to exactly how you want to use it.
Offering a fantastic free way to stay in touch with friends and family around the world, Kik Messenger for Windows Phone is a fantastic app for the Nokia Lumia 800. If you want to save money and enjoy a more advanced texting experience on your Nokia Windows Phone, this is an essential app for you.
Kik Messenger is available now for the Nokia Lumia 800 on the Windows Phone Marketplace for free and is also available free from the Nokia Store for all Nokia Symbian handsets.
Are you already a Kik Messenger user or do you prefer rivals Symbian apps such as WhatsApp? Why not let us know what you think in the Comments below?
IMDB App on Windows Phone
"As one of the highest-rated and most-downloaded WP7 apps, IMDb might just be the most popular yellow app in the world. It's a nice yellow, though, a golden, orangey tone. Anyway, I digress: IMDb for Windows Phone 7 is excellent. It provides, with a couple of flicks, everything a film buff might need" Sebastian Anthony - Downloadsquad on November 18, 2010

WinMilk Task Manager
WinMilk is a to-do list app and task manager that syncs with the popular Remember the Milk service. It lets you view and sort your tasks by date, list, and tag. You can add and edit tasks directly from the app, and it's nicely laid out. It requires an RTM account, but it can be a real lifesaver.
