Confirmation period is May 14-16. If you don't confirm within those dates, they will forfeit your slot.

No they're different. In UPM, we get the true copy of grades from the respective colleges where each of us belongs and we get the the TOR from the registrar.

Mahirap ba ang mag transfer sa Ateneo Manila? Kasi mag aaral muna ako sa FEU BSBA Legal Management tapos mag tratransfer ako jan.

  8. #28
I don't really know anyone who transferred from FEU......
A lot of transferees are from the "top 4."
I suggest you just stay there if you know that you wont be able to keep up with the standards of Ateneo .

  9. #29
Based on experience, most of the transferees are from either DLSU and UP.

I don't know if that really says anything. If you're really determined to pass the ACET and transfer, anything is possible.

so even that nagkafail ka ng isa then nasummer mo na and you passed that subj. you can still get in? im planning to transfer from UST to AdMU and im planning taking AB Political Science

viral8! hey can I ask when you transferred how many failed subjects did you have? and did it affect your transferee credentials?

You have the better answer to bandmax. There's kindness there -- the ability to give hope to less fortunate people and not cause despair.

Hi, I just have a question. I'm a fresh in a provincial college now. I really have plans to transferring next sem/year. When you present your transcript to ADMU in your transferee application. Do they look at your second sem grades or do they purely focus on your first semester grade? Also, is there a required grade? Also, is the exam harder for transferees?

I don't know how well I did in the ACET but I can tell you I barely studied and I just reused my old application essay 2 years back. I don't know if passing the ACET before helped my chances or not.

So if I put in minimal effort to get in, just think about how good your chances will be if you give it your best. You should definitely apply and don't let your bad grades be an excuse for not trying. I was also hopeless back when I applied but I am so very thankful that I did it. Now I'm looking forward to studying in Ateneo this June.
    - omg! You just inspired me so much!
and are you serious?! You used your "old" Ateneo essay? Im planning to do that for the transferee application form (2013) but Im just scared.
im in 2nd yr now... and I really wanna transfer to Ateneo! I hope its gonna be worth it.
How did you manage the ACET?

I wouldn't say it's hard. Actually, out of the top 4, I think AdMU is the easiest to transfer into because there are no minimum grades as far as I was told; they just assess your performance on your first year of college and if you pass the ACET, you're in.

Well yeah, there are a lot of transferees from the Top 4, especially DLSU but there are also a lot from other schools. For the TR Block this year, there are 46 of us.

    Miriam: 3
    UP Manila: 7
    UP Diliman: 2
    UA&P: 4
    DLSU: 8
    UST: 4
    Mapua: 1
    Abroad: 8

The rest, I forgot. My point is, it really doesn't matter which school you came from because once you get in Ateneo, you'll all just be Ateneans

Yes, I did use the application essay I made for the first time I applied but I only used it because that application was successful. So if you applied before already and it wasn't successful, I suggest you play it safe and make a new improved essay.
Not to brag or anything, just being honest: I actually didn't study for the ACET both times. For the first time, I totally didn't study and for the second time, I only skimmed my review materials the night before.

    Some tips:
For Math, focus on Algebra and Geometry. For English, brush up on your vocabs and grammar, especially since there's an essay portion.
For the other parts of the test, you don't necessarily have to study, you just need to practice your speed and accuracy. The reason is that they're hard only in the sense that they take much time to comprehend and analyze, and the time limit it pretty strict.

I think they look at your performance for both first and second sem. There's no required grade, I confirmed it from them when I called. The exam transferees take is the exact same exam that the freshmen take.
