Command and Conquer: Generals 2 Announced!

A few days ago, EA with its subsidiary, Bioware Victory formally announced the next installment of the Command and Conquer: Generals series at the Spike VGAs.

The game will feature:

• 3 factions (EU, GLA and a 3rd faction yet to be revealed)
• A return to "core gameplay."
• The game takes place 10 years after the events of Generals
• Frosbite 2 engine.

Yeah, I was excited too when I saw this in Spike Tv's VGA. Can't till 2013. Generals is my 3rd most favorite RTS of all time. Behind, of course, Starcraft and Red Alert 2.

Until now Zero hour is still installed on my PC, and I have no plans to remove it until the sequel comes out..

Hope the sequel is not garbage like RA3.. All my hopes are in you BIOWARE Victory.

well same here,EA is on my new black list for some time now together with Ubi & actiBlizz they are the worst publisher to date... lahat nalang lagyan ng frosbite engine para dumami yung sales

mabilis mamatay yung franchise paghawak ng EA, look what happened to RA2 after they bought WestWood studios.EA butchered the C&C franchise and the Red Alert franchise and another issue this will most likely require Origin, sad but true..

Look at the explosion particle in the middle of the screen in Generals 2 (screen shot above). It looks like an ultra high quality sprite, but it looks so unrealistic.
Look CoH 2. It has by far (and also CoH has) the best explosions and particles effects on rts to date.

I played generals competitively for many years before I came here. As far as graphics are concerned the COH 2 games looks better but keep in mind that they zoomed in pretty closely so its obviously it would be more detailed. Generals will have larger scale combat so the units wouldn't look as detailed if you compare them.

There goes my interest in this game.

Yeah, EA will milk the sh*t out of this game with a gamut of DLCs.

Wanna add that cool superweapon? Pay up.

Wanna play as Special Forces General? Pay up.

And I had high hopes for this game. By the looks of the trailer, I think they're going CnC4 all over again. Sad to say, but CnC is indeed dead.


At least there's still CoH 2 and Rome 2.
