Who will be UAAP S74 Women's Volleyball ROY? (Rookie of the Year)

we've seen a lot of good to great rookies this season... so who do you think deserves to be this year's ROY?

Please note ROY is for 1st year players (fresh from high school) only...

here's my personal list: (Puro open spikers ang magagaling na rookies ngayon...

1. Gi Reyes (UST) - Open Spiker

Gi is one of the point contributors for the tigresses... on their game against ADU, she scored 19 points... bridesmaid to Maru's 25 points... Of all the rookies, sya ang may maganda score contribution... kaya sya ang number 1 ko...

2. Pablo (NU) - Open Spiker

Pablo has the height and power to be a stand-out open spiker... yung form nya at approach niya sa bola eh kakaiba, it always translates to powerful cross courts or down the line hits... pero siguro she needs to polish more her floor defense and she'll be one heck of a player...

3. Mika Reyes (DLSU) - Middle

the tower of taft... she's a blocking monster... and her middle quicks are good enough to give points to the archers. her height alone is intimidating.... definitely a nice catch for coach ramil...


Other notable rookies:

4. Bagang (FEU) - Open Spiker

A sweet looking girl with a killer instinct

5. Lastimosa (UST) - Middle/Utility

Has lots of potential... i hope coach odjie train her more..

6. Galang (DLSU) - Open Spiker

7. Cruz (DLSU) - Open Spiker

8. Togonon (ADU) - Open Spiker/Utility

9. Sison (DLSU) - Libero

10. Morado (UST) - Libero

-may variation ang palo ( can deliver decent down the line, cross court and esp off the block)
-score machine

2. Lady Falcon Faye Guevarra
- Good net defender, maganda timing sa blocking
- Hindi na iintimidate makipagsabayan sa mga Middle Plays
- decent quick hits

3. Lady Bulldog Myla Pablo
- Power and Height combine
- may variations ang atake
- notable yung Velocity ng bola pag hinampas niya down the line, impressive


4. Lady Spiker Mika Reyes
5. Lady Warrior Sarina Bulan

faye guevarra is not a rookie anymore. she's on her third playing year but this is her first time as one of the starters for the lady falcons.

my money's on reyes of uste, pablo of nu, bulan of ue and bagang of feu in that order.

I think Mika Reyes will win the award though kasi siya lang ang hindi masyadong pinapalitan thus mas makakaipon siya ng stats. Hindi ba obvious na instant fan ako ni Carmela Tunay? Hahaha!

I personally think Mika Reyes is just a hairline ahead of Gi Reyes.. Gi is more of points. A rookie who drops 19 a game. While Mika is not merely a point contributor for La salle, obviously she's a defensive frontliner as of now, but this girl has the timing I must say. Ganda ng mga quick hits niya.
