sa prequals?

di ko alam..hehehe. straight from gimikan, pumunta lang ako without any kind of preparation, di ko pa dala ang orig ng exam permit ko, mali pa ang shade ng lapis ko coz sa 7-11 ko lang binili, and yon lang available. buti may xerox copy ako sa car.

di ko sya natapos, some 20 items ata di ko nasagot, and the math part, i didn't bother to compute, in-estimate ko lang ang possible answer and picked the closest choice..hahahaha. akala ko bagsak ako dun. wasn't hoping to pass, i put the thing behind me after the prequals. nagulat na lang ako nung tinawagan that i made it.

(i also didn't check my score kasi baka nagkamali lang sila and bagsak pala talaga ako, madidiskubre pa...hahahaha!)

for me, yon ang part ng exam na pinakanag-struggle ako.

^hula-hula lang din sagot ko sa part na yan, wala rin akong alam

10-15 items lang ata yan, di naman ata ako na-zero dun kaya pumasa ako

Around 20 items ata ying management concepts. Ilan lang lumabas sa pinagaralan ko. Pero hoping pa din, sana bawi sa math and english.

^kaya naman ata hulaan yon based on common sense. though meron talagang items (at least nung time namin) na asking for specific theories on management, like some xxx's theory or abc's theory.

Isa lang yung lumabas na theory. Contingency theory lang. Yung iba management practices na talaga, na wala akong alam hahah. Anyways, may sampung taon pa naman ako para magtry.

yung pamangkin ko na nagtapos ng AB Consular and Diplomatic Affairs sa CSB,ayaw magtake. WTF!

2-3 months yan. usually, 1 month before the scheduled prelim interview.

on-time sila last year, so malamang masusunod din nila ang schedule ngayon

better magprepare na kayo seriously sa written (which you should done before pa).

Nawalan na ako ng ganang magtake ulit ng exam when I learned na I need to start all over again... I am a 2010 taker and I am already in the written exam phase, then they changed the rules na 2010 and 2011 takers would start from the beginning, where in the past eh may 3 year eligibility ka na kung saan ka natapos, the next year dun ka na magcontinue... Hay...

1. pag pumasa, ano ang starting postion or job mo? i mean, ano ang job description mo.

2. Nursing grad po kasi ako eh. Pwede kaya ako dito. Pero knowledgeable naman po ako sa mga political issues dito sa bansa.

1. Diplomat or consular official ka. You'll represent the Philippines abroad either as a diplomat (if you're assigned in an embassy) or a consular official (kung sa consulate ka assigned) or both. Pag pumasa ka sa exams, dadaan ka sa 6-month classroom instruction and antoher 6 months of on-the-job training. Then you'll work at the home office (DFA) for 2-3 years. After that, bibigyan ka ng post sa embassy, consulate, or philippine mission to IOs (UN, WTO, etc) abroad. Kung sa embassy ka assigned, 3rd secretary ng embassy ang rank mo. Kung sa consulate, vice consul ka.

2. Kahit anong course mo, pwede ka, basta 4-year course ang natapos mo. 5 stages ang exams (tingnan mo ang link dun sa first page for the description ng exams). Medyo broad knowledge ang kailangan - international politics, int'l law, int'l economics, world affairs, world history (could be as specific as the history of Liberia, or could be as general as the medieval ages), philippine society, politics, government, history, etc., and meron ding test sa foreign language (pipili ka from bahasa, german, arabic, chinese, japanese, spanish, french).
