Hmm... The Buzz. Leighton Meester interview. Uhm, Tin can do so much better. I wish Tin asked how Leighton got the role for Gossip Girl, how she started in the business, why she chose to endorse Penshoppe. Assume that people do not know her. Kasi not everyone is a fan of Leighton, and therefore do not know who she is aside from being the lead star of Gossip Girl. And to add substance sa interview because I found the convo a little shallow e. It would've made the interview a lot more interesting. And I hope she would refrain saying "Ohmygoodness" often especially if the guest do not have any inkling why it should be funny.
Medyo bumababa ata self-confidence ni Tin kapag Inglisera/Inglisero ang kaharap e. I hope she'll take Grammar and pronunciation lessons, sometimes kasi parang naghe-hesitate si Tin to say her thoughts in English kasi conscious sya e.
And yep Tita Jo, ang awkward nung moment nung umakbay si Kit kay Tin.
i saw tin's interview in ANC shes good at english with excelent grammar and diction maybe when inglishera/inglishero yung iniinterview especially its tin's idol she may have the feeling of being a fan talaga so na sta star struck sya kaya siguro she makes herself uncomfortable but over all she can do betterkudos ate tin!!!
Fluency and being articulate will definitely boost her confidence during interviews done in English. No doubt she has the projection and stage presence in conducting interviews as these are her trademark which has led her to succeed in show business. She has no problem as far as mastery of the subject matter being discussed. It had been mentioned that her desire to return and finish her collegiate education. If this is pursued and completed, it will not only provide a good example to the public but will also be an achievement and an added feather in her cap!
The Buzz. Practice makes perfect Tin. Try to speak in straight English as often as you can with people you trust. Even if you're good in written English or say you don't have a problem with grammar (which I think you don't), it helps if you're very comfortable using it while interviewing someone or if you're being interviewed. I liked that even if you seemed self-conscious with your interview with Leigton Meester, you were still able to insert a bit of humor to it. But I agree with everyone that you can do a lot better, way, way better. This concern is essential to your job Tin, so try to work on it okay?
P.S. Pero natutuwa talaga ako kapag ang lalim mong managalog. That's impressive too you know. So I suggest you use that ability as well every time you conduct an interview.
"My Gay Boyfriend". Malapit na rin atang mag-shoot si Tin ng film niya with Vice ah, baka after PBB Teens at 'yan ata yung new title. I think that title is more interesting than "Kung Fu Family", I just don't know how they're going to make that work, haha, but still, it's more interesting... Dito masusubok kung hanggang kay Vice eh may chemistry ka as his love interest. Hahahaha

Regarding The Buzz, I think it went ok. She just mispronounced the name of Leighton Meester, but that's ok pa rin. But she should do her reasearch before she goes into an interview like that. As I always say, Toni does not seem to do her homework before she comes out in The Buzz. She sounded comfortable in English and relaxed except for the OA "oh my goodness" line which did not fit that type of an interview. I think whenever she becomes over conscious, she tries to be funny which is inappropriate. Even her joke t, " I look like my dog," also sounded inappropriate. I think she forgets that iba ang humor pang Filipino masses. She should be more serious and more professional as a host whenever she interviews international stars. I think people were also disappointed with her questions. They were not interesting. I think, people, wanted jucier news than that.
Toni should not shy away from speaking English or interviewing in English if she wants to be a better host. I am glad she took that interview. That's good training for her. And overall, it was OK. Hindi puede lagi na lang siyang pang masa . She can do it. She can speak English fluently. Her accent is ok. Wala siyang "taytay accent". If ever she has grammatic errors , they aren't that many.
I don't think college education is the key for her to improve in conversing in English. There are so many Filipino college graduates who can't speak English well. The key is socialization. Toni has to expose herself to those who speak the language fluently. She has to go out and meet people from the upper social class. I know Direk Paul could help her. The problem with Toni is she is too anti-social. She is too shy to attend social gatherings. She is always with her relatives lang or Taytay folks. She has to widen her social circle. I think, she avoids events and social gatherings.
I also suggest that she gets a dictionary application with a pronunciation key in her cellphone. Just like in dictionary.com website, they will even say the word so you can hear how it should be pronounced. For a TV host like her, it is a must for her to bring that along with her at work.
I hope someone forwards our comments here to Toni .
It would be nice for Tin to finish her studies.Iba pa din talaga ang may degree.
IMO, tama yung practice makes perfect, but it would be nice for her to learn more from an expert. And yes, ang laki ng improvement nya sa grammar.
Hiring an expert doesn't only mean that Tin will eventually learn the theory but it will also boost her confidence for speaking the English language more, knowing that her teacher is an expert of the subject. She can also ask questions without shame. And it is always nice to learn anyway.
I also agree that in interviewing International artists, it is better to conduct it with more formality. And substance is important. As a host, I think Tin should learn how to conduct interviews depending on the concept of the show, the sensitivity of the subject, and the person to be interviewed.
Always find ways to improve your craft, Tin.

And yes, impressive ang Tagalog ni Tin.
Btw, may leading man na ba si Tin for her serye? Sana wag newbie. *cringecringe* Sana wag si...![]()
Anyway, naisip ko lang si Diether. Nawawala kasi sya e, kaya if wala naman syang ginagawa na for TV, baka pwedeng sila na lang ni Tin.

11 YEARS and counting—this girl from La Salle has come a long way.
How would you like to have it all?
This was the question posed to various media personalities, bloggers, fans and special guests when Coke Zero presented its newest brand ambassador at the launch last May 23 at The Gallery in Greenbelt 5, Makati, hosted by RJ Ledesma.
She is the “Ultimate Multimedia Star,” host, actress and singer Toni Gonzaga.
“She is just the perfect brand ambassador for Coke Zero,” said Nikki Lee, brand manager of Coke Zero. “She’s achieved remarkable things and, at the same time, enjoys what she’s doing. We are proud to have someone like her who does have it all.”
“Coke has always been a part of my life,” says Toni. “With my new discovery, Coke Zero, I get to have everything without having to compromise. It has zero sugar and great taste! Plus, I get to maintain my figure.”
And what a figure it is. The star attributes her naturally slim figure to good genes, and Coke Zero. When asked if she’s on any diet to keep her figure, she quipped: “I’m on a ‘seafood’ diet. When I ‘see’ food, I eat it.”
Big break
This conservative girl from Rizal has come a long way from being the teenager who joined singing competitions in their town.
Her big break came in 2001, when in a softdrink commercial she played a rabid fangirl who, upon spotting her idol, screamed, “I love you, Piolooooooooooo.”
Blockbuster romantic comedies, solo albums, and hosting stints on ABS-CBN’s “Pinoy Big Brother” and “The Buzz” followed. Eleven years later, she’s a successful star.
“I was 17! Who would have thought that 11 years later, I’d get to represent a brand in the same family as the ‘I love you, Piolo’ ad,” said Toni with a laugh.
And she’s eternally grateful. “When I was 12, I attended this Christmas Institute for our church. It was then that I surrendered my life to Jesus Christ, and then I felt complete. All these things that come after, I treat as gifts,” she said.

I am really glad that Toni has a solo Asap segment now. However ---
I wish Toni's future Asap performances will showcase the quality of her voice.
Singing a Justin Bieber song will not achieve that unfortunately.
It may have pleased part of the young crowd at that moment but at the same time,
it alienates those who are more into performance quality (great interpretation of a good music material).
Sayang ang Toni voice if you continue to stay away from better English and Filipino songs, old and new.
I think you should leave the Bieber songs to teenage singers.
Nakalimutan ko pala, Belated Happy 5th Anniversary to the Toniliciousz in this thread!!!Congrats!!! Let’s continue supporting Tin hanggang sa mga susunod pang mga taon. Hehe
I like the idea of a Toni-Diether team up too! Haha One of my favorite Elive interviews of Tin is the one with Diet.
ASAP. I would like her to sing better songs too on her solo segment. It doesn't have to be a song-and-dance performance all the time; it just has to be a good song.
