Anne Curtis on winning first award as a "singer": “Na-shock talaga ako. Hindi ako prepared!”

Tinanong ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) si Anne Curtis kung lagi ba niyang ginagawa ang biglaan na lang na paglitaw sa mga pampublikong lugar.
Bukod kasi sa mga biglaan niyang pagsakay ng MRT o Metro Rail Transit, nakuhanan din ng video si Anne nang bigla rin itong lumitaw sa 168 Mall sa area ng Divisoria sa Maynila.
Kilalang bagsakan ng mga murang bilihin at laging matao ang Divisoria. Kaya nakakagulat na naisipan ng isang sikat na personalidad na katulad ni Anne ang pumunta rito.
“Yun ang mga talagang gusto kong gawin,” sabi ni Anne sa PEP at iba pang miyembro ng press na kaharap nito sa presscon ng Greenwich Spaghetti Supreme na ginanap nung Miyerkules, Abril 2, sa Megatrade Conference Center sa SM Megamall.
“You know, I really think that…whatever or where you stand in life, if you’re a celebrity, if you still wanna do things, go for it.
"Don’t let it [being a celebrity] be a hindrance to being a normal person, di ba?
“Of course, there are things that you have to, like, you have to take certain precautions.
“Like when I did in168, I went there first na naka-fisherman’s hat lang. Hindi nag-work. So, umalis muna ako kunwari.
“Pagbalik ko, may mask na kaming binili. So, naka-mask na ‘ko,” kuwento ni Anne.
Hindi ba siya natatakot na baka dumugin siya nang husto ng mga taong makakakita sa kanya, lalo na sa isang pampubliko’t sobrang mataong lugar na katulad ng Divisoria?
“Hindi naman. Mababait ang mga Pinoy. Nakikinig naman,” sagot ng It’s Showtime host.
Lagi rin naman daw siyang may kasama kapag pumupunta sa mga matataong lugar. At tuwing nag-e-MRT naman daw ay lagi siyang nasa ladies carriage.
Sa dalawang beses nang pagsakay ni Anne sa MRT, hindi pa ba siya nilalapitan ng mga namamahala nito para maging spokesperson ng MRT?
“Hindi pa naman!" natatawang sagot ni Anne.
“Alam mo, 'yan siguro ang peak ng career ko pag yun ang in-endorse ko,” biro pa niya.
So, payag siyang maging “Ambassadress of Public Transport” kung saka-sakali?
“Why not? I’m all for it naman, 'no? Kasi it’s a fast way to get to anywhere you want to go.
“[Going to the concert of] Kylie Minogue, it got me there in time. For work, it got me there in time.
"So, bongga siya,” sabi pa ni Anne tungkol sa MRT.
ONE OF THE BEST YEARS OF HER LIFE. Kinumusta rin ng PEP ang pakiramdam ni Anne sa mga parangal na nakuha niya kamakailan.
Pinarangalan siyang Box-Office Queen (kahati ang No Other Woman co-star niyang si Cristine Reyes) at Most Popular Novelty Singer ng Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation (GMMSF) Box-Office Entertainment Awards.
Nanalo rin siyang Pinakapasadong Aktres (ka-tie si Angel Locsin para naman sa pelikulang In The Name Of Love) sa 14th Gawad Pasado.
Lubos daw siyang natutuwa sa mga nangyayaring ito sa kanyang career.
“As I tweeted a couple of days ago, 2012 is turning out to be the one of the best, amazing years of my life.
“Nag-concert ako…and the awards, I just feel so blessed.
"So happy and grateful,” sambit pa ng 27-year-old Filipino-Australian actress-TV host-singer.
RECOGNITION FOR BEING A SINGER. Nakakabit na nga talaga ang titulong “singer” kay Anne, lalo na’t binigyang-parangal siya ng GMMSF para sa kanyang pag-awit sa AnneBisyosa album.
“Na-shock talaga ako. Hindi ako prepared!” ani Anne tungkol sa award na kumikilala sa kanya bilang singer.
“I’m just so happy na, parang… In my career, the things that I wanted to achieve, nate-take off ko na [from my list]. I’m willing to cross it off. So, I’m just so happy and thankful to God.”
Naibalita rin ni Anne na dapat sana’y may gagawin siyang follow-up album sa AnneBisyosa.
“Kasi na-press release na ‘ko na first and last na. So, parang I can’t naman make bawi,” nakangiting sabi ni Anne.
“Sabi ko nga, o, sige, kung by popular demand, we’ll see...
“I’m supposed to come out with The Reloaded album, pero ini-stop muna.
"Kasi naging busy sa No Other Woman, and then so many things were happening.
"But we’ll see…maybe, maybe. I don’t know yet.
“Saka busy pa ‘ko sa pagtu-tour ko!” tawa na nang tuluyan si Anne.
Busy rin daw siya ngayon sa kanyang upcoming teleserye kasama sina Kris Aquino at Robin Padilla, ang Kailangan Ko’y Ikaw. At sa nalalapit na pagsasama nila sa pelikula nina KC Concepcion at Derek Ramsay na gagawin nila under Viva Films.
