I think it's better for you to contact the offices of SPaCE and SDA to learn more of the specifics of the certification courses they offer.

Try to download the links found on the webpage you provided (SDA Brochure, College Prospectus). Those link may have more detailed info on what you could expect from your choice of course (minus the financials).

I suggest that you get in touch with Mr. Marlon Eusebio. He's the program coordinator for the arts- and design-related certificate/short courses offered by SPaCE in partnership with SDA. I'm not certain if he's in charge of the one-year diploma programs as well but he's real nice and will surely point you in the right direction. His email's marlon.eusebio@benilde.edu.ph

I have a couple of questions, too. But they're not quite related to the topic and since I'm new, I have no "rights" yet to create a new thread. So forgive my deviation.

I'm one of many SPaCE "alumni." I myself finished a business management-related diploma program last year. I've heard many things about what our actual status is but from what I've gathered, we're "alumni" but not really. We're SPaCE alumni but not CSB alumni per se (I dunno if that makes sense). Like second class Benildeans of some sort. So I'd like to know...

Are SPaCE diploma holders such as myself even considered DLS-CSB alumni?

If not, is it true that SPaCE students need to complete two (2) diploma programs to be considered Benildean alumni? Anyone out there who knows?

Interesting dilemma you got there, but it shouldn't be the case at all. Even if it's a one-year diploma course, 4-year course, you're an "immortal" or "fallen from grace" student of CSB. Do we even look down upon CDA people or Deaf? No we don't, and your stay within doesn't matter. What makes you a Benildean are the values you learned may it be limited or immense. The fact that you were exposed within is a sign that you are a Benildean at heart.

I appreciate the reply. Yes, I guess you could indeed say that since I even bother to dwell on this rather "sentimental" (for lack of a better term) dilemma. "At heart" sounds great and all although that pretty much sums up all we SPaCE "alumni" really are at this point: Benildeans at heart. Not so much on paper. Well, not yet anyway. But maybe SPaCE should set up its own affiliate alumni organization. Most - if not all - of us SPaCE studes and grads are working professionals and many would benefit greatly from the networking opportunities inherent in an association that encompasses multiple industries and fields of expertise. Besides, I seriously doubt that the DLS-CSBAA will be issuing us cards anytime soon anyway hahahaha!

need your inputs. thank you so much.
