I could say that the spead of infection would be significantly slower here than other countries due to Pinoy houses being a LOT safer. Puro tayo grills eh.

That's because in the process of dying, the most complex of neural functions tend to disintegrate more rapidly than your natural, primitive ones. Therefore, the only neural functions left are the ones that are normally hard-coded into any living thing, which are the default, primitive ones.

Ah ok. So, complex neural functions such as weapons making, tool usage, personnel organization, communication, planning, alliance building, treachery etc are thrown out the window when you're a zombie? And you can't run so you just crawl and hobble along?

Why are we worried about a zombie apocalypse again?

    ^Dami NPA dun.

Pero on the bright side, mabubuhay ka kapag napunta ka sa ang mga NPA in the event of a zombie apocalypse. Marami silang armas at marunong silang mamuhay sa gubat.

Latest craze ngayon talaga yung The Walking Dead. Hehe

Kung sa Pilipinas mangyayari yan, maraming bahay ang gated kaya madaling malock out mga tao sa kanilang bahay. Hehe

As for me, kapag mangyari nga ito, punta ako sa isang mall at duon ako magstay. Panigurado di ako magugutom dun. Hehe

If were gonna follow the Zombie Apocalypse logic, rabies victims should be taking over the world already.

^^THAT'S ACTUALLY WHAT I'M WORRIED ABOUT!

Mosquitoes would spread the infection. Use nets!

depends on the neighborhood. i'd stay away from squatters' areas as these are congested and people there are very communal in contrast to say, ayala alabang. i'd also stay away from churches, since i'm sure most people wouldn't know wtf it was and would flock to the churches to pray it away

may point yung article actually ehehe

pero in the case of resident evil and I am Legend. What if the infection is not spread through bites but by airborne. Let's say someone so intelligent made a biological weapon, a virus for example a mutated H1n1 virus that delivers completely different symptoms than it's original counterpart, a zombiefication symptom ( i made that up lol). So that'd make it worse. An airborne mutated virus that makes you sick for a few days then kills you only to be reanimated afterwards.

    ---

I guess if yung zombie apocalypse is to start through biological warfare almost 3/4 of the population will be wipe out through initial infection alone provided the virus is not contained and areas are not quarantined. Pero let's say the CDC and WHO acts in a manner like they treated SARS, mcocontain pa din yun sure. But what if the genetic engineer made the virus not only airborne but vector borne once transmitted to living hosts. Even dengue mosquitoes could carry these viruses, uh oh we're doomed lol.

ilan ba statistics ng dengue naitala sa pinas LOL. What if those dengue mosquitoes have those virus ganun din kadami ang infected. Simulan na ng kainan ehehehe.

I think man is capable of many things, great things as well as HORRIBLE things. Biological warfare is not that farfetched

From a recent Ludlum novel I read, zombiefication is possible not by a virus but by a parasite. Virus are likely to kill their hosts while parasites tries to live and even preserve their victims. Some parasites in nature can also control the minds of their hosts and they don't try to kill each other.

I saw one episode of NatGeo wherein they featured this parasite attacking the brain of the ants (yes, ants have brains). They say that once the parasites get into the ants, the ants became zombies-like. I forgot if ants were already dead and if it were the parasites that control the body.

I don't think parasites have this capacity to control our body even if they attack our brains. The neural networks are too complex for them to manipulate. They don't even have the intelligence to figure it all out.

Actually millions of people already have a mind controlling parasites in their brains. Toxoplasma Gondii.

    Napa-google ako.

So this parasite can cause behavioral changes, but not actually controlling the body.

Zombies are technically dead right? That's one other major problem. Parasites can't live with a dead host.

I am no zombie expert so feel free to correct me anytime.
