I'm still undecided whether to buy their home kit, which I should've done back in June. I might as well buy a plain blue polo shirt and draw the cockerel myself.

Seeing Mamodou Sakho progress and secure a regular spot in the France line-up, and establishing a partnership with Varane is a very exciting prospect. Dat promising youth will get them anywhere.

And I hope Areola gets capped by France. His country deserves him.

Tignan natin in 8 or so years.

Pansin ko lang sobrang extremes every FIFAWC season ang performance ng France NT simula ng nag champion sila nung 1998. They sucked in the 2010 games so is it safe to assume that they will perform well in 2014?

Will still root for this team.J'aime Les Bleus. Andun pa si Florent Malouda. And the Iker Casillas dead-ringer Hugo Lloris.

Good luck na lang sa Euro 2012 but as Manager Laurent Blanc, that 1998 team is done. Move on na daw.

"We’d all like to see a new Zidane or a new [Fabien] Barthez, but you can’t live in the past. You have to live in the present and look to the future. We have some good young players, but in my opinion we don’t yet have any who have really exploded on to the scene, like Zidane did once upon a time. We all expect these lads to go on to shine for big clubs. It would be great for them and for the club involved, but also for the national team. As far as the Real Madrid player is concerned, I think the boy has potential but he’s not the only one. He has good qualities and I hope he’ll be given enough playing time to be able to show them off. But I have my doubts."

Malakas ang line-up. Ewan ko ano ang problema. Esprit de Corps?

Yoann Gourcuff and Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa have been left out of France's squad for Euro 2012 after it was named today.

Coach Laurent Blanc made his final cut, ahead of his first major tournament in charge, with midfielder Gourcuff omitted just days after he played 75 minutes in the 3-2 friendly win over Iceland.

The Lyon midfielder, who has endured a season undermined by injury, left the pitch with France 2-1 behind before his replacement, Franck Ribery, levelled.

Defender Yanga-Mbiwa, who helped Montpellier to their first Ligue 1 title, also made way while striker Loic Remy had already been ruled out from the initial 26-man list due to injury.

Blanc included 12 France-based players in his squad, headed by skipper Hugo Lloris, while there are seven players from the Barclays Premier League including Manchester City's title winners Gael Clichy and Samir Nasri.

France 23-man squad: Carrasso (Bordeaux), Lloris (Lyon), Mandanda (Marseille); Clichy (Man City), Debuchy (Lille), Evra (Man Utd), Koscielny (Arsenal), Mexes (AC Milan), Rami (Valencia), Reveillere (Lyon); Cabaye (Newcastle), Diarra (Marseille), Malouda (Chelsea), Martin (Sochaux), Matuidi (Paris St Germain), M'vila (Rennes), Nasri (Man City); Ben Arfa (Newcastle), Benzema (Real Madrid), Giroud (Montpellier), Menez (Paris St Germain), Ribery (Bayern Munich), Valbuena (Marseille).
