Although it's been public knowledge that Twilight twosome Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have been dating for quite some time, we've yet to see much evidence of the fact. But yesterday at Cannes Rob and Kristen FINALLY came clean with their romance, after being snapped enjoying a steamy kiss at a party.

And we have the video to prove it.

The pictures that send Twi-hards into an instant frenzy, Robert Pattinson, who had carefully kept his distance from Kristen on the red carpet, was spied leaning in for a kiss.

After attending the official premiere for Kristen's movie On the Road, the usually private pair hit a glittering after-party, where they decided to let their hair down.

After mingling with the cast and movie execs, Rob and Kristen found a quiet corner to sneak some time to themselves.

And just when they thought no one was watching, Rob leaned in for the steamy smooch and wrapped his arms around Kristen, before the couple flirted and giggled.

Kristen Stewart & Robert Pattinson: Cannes Festival Couple!



Kristen Stewart and boyfriend Robert Pattinson have fun party hopping after spending the week promoting their latest flicks at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival on Friday (May 25) in Cannes, France.

At one point during the night, the duo was surrounded by so many fans that security helped them back to their car.

Rock chick Kristen Stewart slips into something more comfortable as she and Robert Pattinson hit movie after-party

Earlier in the evening Kristen Stewart was the epitome of glamour as she attended the premiere of Cosmopolis in a stunning floor length red Reem Acra gown.

But by the time the after-party swung around, the 22-year-old had ditched the dress and changed into something a but more rock and roll.

The Twilight actress had clearly stopped off for a quick change as she arrived at the Hotel Carlton Beach Club wearing a Blondie T-shirt with a pair of black cut-off jeans and a red leather biker jacket.

Kristen had attended the premiere of Cosmopolis to support her boyfriend Robert, who is the star of the film, earlier that night.

But while 26-year-old British star was busy posing up with his co-stars ahead of the screening of the film, his girlfriend very nearly suffered a wardrobe malfunction as the dress gaped around the neckline extremely nearly showed off her entire breast.

Kristen's dress not only dipped down to her naval but the back also had slashes of lace panelling which made for an extremely seductive look.

As the couple arrived at the venue, the notoriously camera shy Kristen clutched Robert's hand and tried to stay hidden behind him.

The co-stars have had a hectic schedule since arriving at the legendary film festival and evening before the pair were partying at Les Marches club in Cannes following the premiere of Kristen’s new movie On The Road.

The couple, who are famously tight-lipped about their relationship, were spotted indulging in a rare PDA as they kissed on the balcony of the club.

Camera shy: Kristen and Robert are notoriously secretive about their relationship
Kristen is obviously ready to shed her teen idol image in the sex, drugs and alcohol-fuelled coming of age story which is regarded as the definitive novel of the 'Beat generation'.

The first time viewers see her is topless in bed, she is showing having group sex, and often naked or engaged in a sexual act. She also seen smoking marijuana and drinking heavily.

Kristen said: 'Obviously everyone who does scenes like that the first thing you say is: 'Oh I felt so safe.'

'But I love pushing, I love scaring myself and I think to watch genuine experience on screen is so much more interesting. I wanted to do it.'


Hollywood glamour: While Kristen can certainly pull of the look, she prefers a more grungy style
And Robert clearly follows where Kristen goes.

Cosmopolis, which is based on Don DeLillo's novel of the same name, tells the story of millionaire Eric Parker who is travelling across the New York to get a haircut but his trip goes anything but smoothly.

In the trailer for the film the actor is seen stripping off and enjoying a romp with several women and is seen relieving himself in his limo.
