It would take a lot for England to win. Even if they win, it would probably be hard for them to convince people they deserve it. Never really saw them playing attractive football. Maybe because my point of comparison is Spain.

And yeah, with the appointment of Hodgson, I dunno. Rooney being out, never really cared about that guy. Bet you he probably won't score in his first 3 games in the Euros (after his suspension).

Belgium now become dangerous in attack. #COYTL

Looks like the Belgian coach didn't even bother with the tactics. It's like he just set the players loose on the field letting them play out of their positions and do sloppy plays.

    FT: England 1-0 Belgium

Good win for the Three Lions. I guess this carry the momentum to EURO 2012.

    What a boring match

Two wins so far into Roy's reign, no goals conceded...but uninspiring performances.

I'm not sure if they can win against France playing like that.

    Still, go England!!!

    England's injury woes continue.

With Kelly that's 6 Liverpool players now in the squad. As much as I'm made up for them and the club, it does kinda highlight a lack of depth in the game at the moment.

I actually think England might surprise a few people this time. Roy's got us playing a system which seems difficult to breakdown. Then with the likes of Young and Welbeck hitting the oppo on the counter attack. Could be interesting

I'm not saying this because I'm a United fan but who would you rather have, Ferdinand/Scholes/Carrick or Downing/Henderson/Kelly, its just dumbfounding based on form alone its a no brainer, they probably won't play but Roy better hope these choices pan out

Ferdinand in my opinion should be going, the FA have made a total balls up of the John Terry saga and unfortunately Rio is the one missing out. No one buys the “footballing reasons” as to why he was left out in the first place, in fact I firmly believe that had it been Terry who had been ruled out, Rio would have been called up and not Kelly.

Carrick I would have also picked ahead of Henderson, but apparently he wasn’t willing to go if he was going to sit on the bench. I think it’s a bit of a ****** attitude to have, but it’s his decision at the end of the day. Downing was a strange pick for me, as he’s been a huge disappointment this season, would have thought he’d have gone with someone like A. Johnson.

I can't see them playing, so maybe Roy considers them as solid squad members with one eye looking into the future.
