Mang Inasal or Chickboy?

I recently dined in a Mang Inasal in Makati and the chicken tasted worse than the last time I had it. I'm not sure if they changed the recipe, or if it was just not cooked properly. Mang Inasal's quality seems to be compromised.

Different branches will have different quality of food, depending on how strict the manager is in following the SOP. In some branches, the employees anticipate the rush and cook the chicken ahead of time. When a customer finally place their order, what they get is reheated chicken (twice grilled). That's why sometimes you get perfectly cooked chicken and sometimes you get tough stringy ones.

before we used to queue at the Mang Inasal Makati Ave. / Jupiter St. branch but ....






now, we would go out of our way and look for a Chickboy outlet.

expected na bababa ang kalidad ng mang inasal upon acquisition of jollibee so still, it's chicboy for me. medyo nadudungisan din ako sa itsura ng mang inasal outlets.

I have to agree, bumaba ang quality ng MI since nakuha na din ito ng Jollibee

Chick Boy! Except dun sa may bagong bukas na outlet nila sa Kalentong Shaw. On their opening day, super excited kaming kumain kasi nga ang tagal namin hinitay na mag open sila
pila ako sa counter!

Ako: Isang Cebu lechon liempo please
Counter: Ay mam sorry not available po.
Ako: Sige, cebu lechon manok na lang
Counter: Ay not available din mam.
Ako: getting impatient- ok chicken inasal na lang!
Counter: Ay mam, sorry puro sizzling lang po ang available.

Eh sana sinabi na agad nila... ANOUNCEMENT WALA PO KAMING AVAILABLE NA MGA INIHAW MEALS, diba? And to think kaya tayo dumadayo sa Chick Boy ay para sa mga inihaw specialties nila, and this happened on their Opening Day May 9, 2012. Talk about first impression!

Mas maraming food choices kasi sa chicboy eh compared sa inasal pero I like inasal's chicken.

Their pork BBQ used to be big. After Jollibee took over, they discontinued it and replaced it with small ones.
