AUF's routine is good, but the thing is their uniform is BLUE, so as the mat... ugh... well, they're the BLUE FLAME pep squad anyway.

perhaps they can work on the chroma of their blue-coloured uniform so to have a good visual impact: good uniform = visually-appealing stunts. just my two cents.

UST lost it's oomph for some years now and still can't get it back. And is UP playing it safe now?

As for the participating UAAP teams, I would rank them this way:

1. FEU
2. DLSU
3. ADMU
4. NU

^medyo enlightening ang article. Nakakaaliw lang isipin kung magiging official Olympic sport ang cheerleading.

Even if very politicized ang sports dito sa Pilipinas, sana maitaas muna as Philippine sport ang cheerleading (like bowling, billiards, golf, dancesport) kahit hindi pa Olympic event. Siguro kahit sa SEA games siya iintroduce bilang madali lang for SEA games mag-introduce ng non-Olympic sporting events. Or kahit siguro sa Palarong Pambansa.

Sana lang magawa ito ng different national cheerleading organizations. Para once ma-recognize ito as a "sport", mas lalaki ang funding for cheerleading at malamang sumali ang UP Pep Squad and UST Salinggawi Dance Troupe (or maybe they would finally establish a separate cheerleading org) sa ibang cheerleading/cheerdancing competition in the Phils. outside UAAP.

Aminin naman natin na sa collegiate level, ang mga popular squads ay yung mga galing sa UAAP, NCAA, and consistent National finalists in NCC. Napakasayang makitang compete with each other ang mga squads na ito on a national level na every season/year natin nakikita.

Masaya siguro kung meron din mascot competition just like what NCC and UCA is doing. Pagalingan ng skit.

Sa cheer naman, sana they also adopt yung meron criteria for cheer tapos may sinesend na crowd tape tapos kasama dun yung score sa prelims.

Kaloka ang cheerleading sa Pilipinas. Sa liit ng bansa natin andaming sporting organizations. tapos sa cheerleading, andami din. Ano kaya ang masasabi ng Cheerleading Association of the Philippines aka CLAP?

binase ko na rin sa UAAP CDC 2011, i think nag downgrade ang FEU at ADMU. lagi naman yata pasok lahat ng UAAP schools na kasali sa NCC finals.

my other bets for NCR qualifiers: UPHSD, CCP, RTU, CSJL, PLP, then sana sumali ulit ang PUP-T.

wala na yata talagang Mindanao Qualifiers, pero sana kasali pa rin ang NDDU

IMO di naman nagdowngrade ang FEU. Nasanay lang kasi tayong malinis lagi ang routine nila kaya last CDC, nakakapanibago na ang daming errors. Pero tingin ko mas mahirap ang 2011 routine nila kesa sa 2010.

My ranking:
FEU - I don't think nag-downgrade sila. Mej tadtad lang talaga sila ng errors. Sayang si ateng nagka-dengue.
DLSU - Sana ma-sustain nila. AFAIK, pang-UAAP lang nila si coach Rhuffa (tama ba spelling?).
NU - Taray talaga ng improvement nila.
ADMU - Nag-downgrade sila nung UAAP. Pero sana makabawi sila sa NCC. 3rd pa naman sila sa NCR qualifiers.



Pero pag-overall, wish ko ito:
FEU - Go! Tagal kong hinintay na sumali ulit kayo.
DLSU - UAAP pride. May tiwala rin ako sa team na to.
UPHSD - Pero pag walang bias, 2nd to feeling ko.


Regarding Mindanao qualifiers, balita ko wala nga daw. Pero pag may team na sasali, finals na yata sila agad. So if ever sasali ang NDDU, kita kits na sa finals. And I think sasali naman talaga sila. Sumali nga sa showtime eh (Nanalo ang UPeeps from UP SDC sa weekly finals. 2nd ang NDDU Sarimanok Pep Squad). Yun na yata yung team A nila. Hindi sila nag-rewinds. Anlungkot.
