    UAAP Football Season 74

Ayan so ok na. Thanks for reminding me.Tumatanda na.

Could anyone know the list of players who were graduated?

As for UP its Steph Permanes. Sayang galing pa naman nitong attacking midfielder. He singlehandedly defeated UST in the Finals last year.

why dont you merge this with the other thread...

Sorry di ko alam icontact yung mods. Kayo na. Baon na lang natin yung Season 75.

Hmmm.. Why not the top four teams. Final 4 tapos may two-leg game. Yung top two will play in a best-of-three? Or better a one game final ala Champions League.

No I am OK with the format. Ang saya kaya ng Penalty Shoot-out:

Yung top two siguro ok na ang two-leg match or single finals match. Hindi kasi ok ang best of three final sa football kasi ang basehan ng mag knockout games sa football ay aggregate scoring. The One Game Final Match is better. Yung Final 4 lang yung 2-leg match. The winner on aggregate points will advance to the finals.

I am OK with a twice-to-beat advantage in Women's. It's a three-team race there. Ang ayoko lang talaga sa UAAP Board, they don't follow FIFA Rules (which is very conservative). Pabago-bago ng rules. Babatukan kayo ni FIFA President Sepp Blatter.

The Men's Football is the better competition. Even Ateneo could scare a top team like UP. Implement the Final 4 with a twist. And please follow FIFA rules.

The Final 4 is useless when you just have 6 or 5 teams.
There is no incentive to always play for the win. Some teams might just be contented with placing 4th anyway there is a playoff.
When you play League system, most points wins the title. No playoffs...

Congrats to the DLSU-Manila Green Booters for winning the Unigames. Kitakits sa UAAP. You have the longest title drought in Men's Football I believe (if we exclude Adamson and NU).

Hope to see the antics of Coach Hans Smit. Para bang si Jose Mourinho of Real Madrid.

The two-legged game is only helpful for teams with home pitch. Wala namang ganun sa atin. Actually lahat meron pero so far, Ateneo's pitches are the best.

Look at the World Cup na iisang venue lang. Its pointless and I really like Penalty Shoot-Outs.

^Eh diba RMSC is owned by DLSU?

Which team did DLSU beat in the Unigames final?

Nope. They only manage the grass. The RMSC is owned by the PSC.

Its their fellow La Sallian, University of Saint La Salle. Malakas talaga mga taga-Negros.

Ganito kasi yung sa Rizal Memorial. Yung DLSU sumusukip at tinamaan ang football field nila in Taft so there was a MOA between POC/PSC (Peping Cojuangco) that they would used it as their training ground for their football team. Sana lang maintain nila ng maayos.

^ upping this thread. Please UAAP Board. FIFA doesn't change their rules that much. That's what I like about them:

    FAIR PLAY. RESPECT.

in fairness to the old rules, ok naman yung 2x to beat sa finals. ang pinakafair ay yung straight-up league system na walang playoffs. pero since gusto natin may playoffs, OK na yung twice to beat.

2-leg series doesn't make sense unless it's a home and away series.
1-game final doesn't make sense since there's no advantage for the #1 seed.

currently in the twice to beat rule
pag draw in regulation yung game 1, extra time, pag draw pa rin, penalty kicks

pag tinalo ang #1 sa regulation, then may game 2, parang rematch

^ Kaya galit sa inyo FIFA.com at AFC. Masyado niyo pinipilit ang gusto niyo.Si Coach Hans Smit one time I heard his rants (nakakatawa din naman siya) in a joking manner. He said he is pissed at the rules sometimes.

There is a rules already ang problema paibaiba-iba ng rules for convenience. Ayaw ng FIFA yun.

May mga tao ba alam Nomads FC diyan? Ganda ng laban dun sa Sunday? Assume I came from Mcdo Philcoa.

ewan ko lang ah. may mga times na gumagawa ng bagong rules ang UAAP at the middle of the tourney (o basta't may magsasabi na may na-"discover" silang rule na ngayon lang nila nakita)

pero interesting ang twice to beat ah. sa atin lang kasi may ganyan kaya you can argue na dapat may manalo. isipin mo na lang na FA Cup final na dapat may manalo hence may aet at pso.
