that's as true as the toothfairy, bigfoot and the loch ness monster
As the physically weak man can make himself strong by careful and patient training, so the man of weak thoughts can make them strong by exercising himself in right thinking.

Yes. Cold water with tons and tons of sugar in it like Pepsi or Mountain Dew.![]()
i think this should be inserted in the myth thread. .![]()
"The only logical thing here is that your body temperature is 37 degrees Celsius. Cold water is less than your body temperature. What usually happens: When you drink cold water, your body has to use energy to heat your body back up to its normal temperature (37 degrees). This is why you feel bloated.. Wait few minutes and it's gone!!"

found out recently that it's actually the opposite. your body burns calories to heat the cold water you drink to match your body's temperature. if you drink the normally prescribed 8 glasses of ice water a day, you can burn an additional 70 calories. that's almost a slice of bread.
edit: didn't notice this was already mentioned above. still the exact calorie expenditure is amusing![]()
I believe in that too. kahit myth or not. Feeling ko nakakalaki ng puson. So when I'm in a resto, I always ask for warm water.
^ i presume you also believe pag naligo ka after exercise mapapasma ka? ahhaha
^ the usual "sabi ng"... go figure

Cold water will not make you bloat. But it will affect your other systemic functions. Immune system included. So avoid unless no choice.
