I think it's more honorable to fight a 100% healthy Red Cubs. Win or lose, the Greenies can hold their heads up high by surviving in Game 1.![]()

Wow stage dad na stage dad ang dating ni Edu. He might be yelling to Greenies' coach to field-in his son.
This is not the first time these two teams meet in a finals series. This batch of Red Cubs and Greenies quite have a rivalry during off season tournaments such as the MILO Pasarelle etc. as they always end up playing for the championship trophy.
I wonder why some of the Greenies (Thomas' brother Axel, Joven & Boo) transfered to Zobel? and where is Enzo Mercado?
One game at a time.. I hope we could paint the Arena Green come Monday..![]()
Someone in AP.com share that the last championship of the Greenies was way back in 1955! 56 years and counting!!!
Needless to say, this is an LSGH Team worthy to break that long spell but it remains to be seen how far they can go when the Red Cubs recover by monday. I can only wish them well and watch TV lest I jinx them as well if I even tried going to the games live!![]()
Was Von Abatayo one of the six cubs who was not 100% healthy during game 1? If he was, then that explains why he was benched majority of the 1st quarter.
I hope the Red Cubs will annahilate the Greenies in Game 2 and hopefully in Game 3. After winning the first game, Suddenly all of them Greenies supporters and Lasallians have something to say.

"Whatever happens I know we will win"

"While Edu Manzano believes San Beda will make a come-back, he said he was confident that the squad would emerge victorious. "We'll take the next game, they'll take the game after that and we'll win the last game."

By just losing game one, these two retards already counted as out. I hope coach Brit Reroma and the Red Cubs will remind the critics tommorow and on Wednesday that Season 87 is our story not theirs.
ANIMO RED CUBS!
Right after game 1, suka pa din ng suka si Abatayo kaya sinugod uli sa hospital. Ang laki ng pinayat niya. I'm pretty sure he won't be 100% bukas.
Edu's son Enzo plays for the Greenies. Don't get caught up too much on Andre Paras or Benjie for that matter. Kinda sounds cheesy and gay. Besides the kid is with the enemy just support our Red Cubs. Don't let this series be the their story.
i don't think that my noticing of the paras's diminishes my support for our Red Cubs. i followed benjie's career in the PBA because he was one of my favorite players and any news of him relating in to basketball game is a welcome news to me; if that's being cheesy and gay to you then you may just have to pardon the fanboy in me.
Red Cubs, Greenies start race-to-2 showdown for NCAA jr crown (The Philippine Star) Updated October 31, 2011 12:00 AM
MANILA, Philippines - College of St. Benilde-La Salle Greenhills hopes the momentum has swung to its side as the Greenies and holders San Beda Red Cubs tangle today in the 87th NCAA juniors basketball finals at the Arena – both needing two wins to cop the title.
A first-time finalist, the Greenies stunned San Beda in the opener of the championship stage, 88-85, handing the Red Cubs their maiden setback after an 18-game sweep of the elims.
San Beda owns a thrice-to-beat advantage in the finals and CSB-LSGH’s triumph effectively reduced the titular showdown to a race-to-two affair.
“We’re happy with the victory but we still have to win two more games,” Greenies coach John Flores said after staining SBC’s erstwhile unblemished mark.
“For us, the most important is to win the first game because somehow, the complexion of the game will change. We hope that it already did,” he added.
CSB-LSGH will anchor its bid on Thomas Torres, who dropped 35 points against No. 2 Letran in the semifinals, and Jon Villaruz , who topscored with 22 against SBC.
Andre Paras, son of PBA rookie-MVP Benjie Paras, is also expected to be a power inside, as he did a week ago with 13 points, 11 in the fourth quarter, and four clutch rebounds.
“That’s how he (Paras) worked his way to more playing time, the way he gets those rebounds,” said Flores, looking to pull off one of the biggest upsets in NCAA juniors finals history.
The Red Cubs will lean on Arvin Tolentino, Van Abatayo and Francis Abarcar, in trying to repeat as champs and duplicate the feats of the Red Lions over in the seniors’ division.
What time yung game? Televised ba?
