That new trailer looks a lot better! Comes closer to the Alien franchise.
Michael Fassbender is my main reason to watch this movie. Now that's what you can an ACTOR.

I love Ridley Scott's films. Can't wait for this. I haven't watched a very neat sci-fi film for a very long time.
I want to purchase advance tickets for this film. I want to watch in IMAX 3D, sadly there is not indication about the schedule of this film as of now in the country. Hopefully somebody is able to inform me where I could purchase IMAX 3D tickets in advance.
Guys question. I've only actually watched Alien. Ndi ko pa napapanood yung Aliens, Alien and Alien Resurrection, do you think I should watch them as well para ma-appreciate ko tong Prometheus lalo? Papanoorin ko pa rin naman to even if I hadn't seen any of those anyway, but still, baka lang mas maganda (or not) if I'm familiar with the entire Alien franchise. Kase this isn't exactly a prequel right? Same universe lang, but not necessarily tying up with those other films.
La lang, kasi people/reviews are also saying those three films aren't as good as Alien, so nag-iisip ako kung papanoorin ko pa sila and they would eventually temper my appreciation of the original. Astig na astig lang kasi ako dun e.
IMO, you should only watch Alien (1) since yun lang ang directed by Ridley Scott so I believe na yung original intention of Scott na horror theme nung first Alien movie will be applied to Prometheus. Aliens (2) is a good film though, but is more action oriented since directed by James Cameron. The third film was received poorly by Alien fans and surprisingly, it was directed by David Fincher.
Thanks thanks sa sagot. Yeah, I was thinking of watching kahit Aliens na lang. I'm really surprised Alien isn't "good enough" based on reviews, when David Fincher directed it. Is it really that bad? Hell, even Alien Resurrection, considering Jean Pierre Jeunet directed that, when he would do Amelie years later. Guess mejo hilaw pa sila pareho noon?
So ayun, Aliens it is.

Well, I do think Prometheus will be Lovecraftian in tone, but I'd still want to see GDT's take on ATMOM. If there's anyone who can bring eldritch abominations to life on the screen, it's definitely him.
