^Grabe naman yan. Pati page number.

I guess the point here is, there should be a balance between learning and just getting the grade. Kung gusto mo talaga magpaka-expert, go ahead. Pero not the point that you beat yourself up just to get the highest score (in comparison to the rest) kasi you'll just end up not learning how it is to be content. Just be the best version of yourself. Maiiwasan mo pa ang cognitive dissonance.

^ Yup. Nobody condones failing grades. While your ToR is a permanent document it is not on permanent display, your ability is.

As a consistent honor student, sino ba naman ang hindi magiging grade-conscious after all your hard-works and efforts para mag-strive for excellence?

In fact, DOST administered our entrance exam when we were incoming freshmen and only 20 of us passed. Dahil sobrang baba, nagconsider nang unti at yun, we entered 1st yr only 29 in our section/curriculum/batch. Because of this, we we were all taught to be grade-conscious up to this time. And for more information, last yr we were only 24 and now only 23 in our final year. Thanks to our math subjects for failing them out.

Grades are just mere numbers that teachers and students play around with.

    Connotations ng pagiging "grade-conscious":

    - metric-focused
    - walang ibang buhay kundi acads, acads, at more acads!
    - dahil wala siyang ibang buhay kundi acads, loser ito at malamang, walang social life
    - kumukuha ng "unoable" na subjects
    - grades>learning

Those who are grade-conscious are just goal-oriented people who wanted the best for their future. Yung kaklase ko nga, one factor that affects his grade very much is his mother. His mother wants him to be always on top, so that when he graduate, he can be admitted to premier schools, be rewarded with scholarships and get very promising jobs. And the effect of being grade conscious to him? Well, he just not just always top our class but he also serves as an epitome of what both a book and street smart person really is. Nonetheless, I can say that he is no genius.
