congrats vietnam !! well atleast hindi kadali na nakuha nila un championship sa army !! medyo nakakapanghinayang lang un 3rd set !! relaks pa tpos un 5th set biglang bumaba un laro 0-10 bago naka iskor ulit !!
kahit hindi babad si nene sa match na yan ..atleast un hugot sa kanya ng kots ng army eh nai de deliver niya ng maayos kahit limitado lang .. kakabilib un 2 points niya sunod para hindi 0-15 un inabot ng army ,,
maganda ang nilaro ni bunag , may blocking , quick at depensa !! Pog siya para skin pag nanalo sana ang army ! balse medyo natahimik un 4th at 5th set !! sad lang dahil hindi na naibalik ng army un momentum nila 1st & 2nd set sa sumunod pang set , bawi nalang next conference sana mas maraming team mas masaya !!

Ateneo vs. Malaysia

Valdez is the super rookie indeed, she has a lot of powerful hits from down the line to off the block.

Cainglet is very good in placing the shot, natatarget nya yung butas court ng kalaban

Ferrer is good setter, ang galing magset

Lazaro has a decent receives and great digs

Patnongon hmmm matangkad siya pero ang baba nya tumalon, mas mataas nga tumalon si fille sa kanya, more practice p lol

Charo Soriano i love her during her uaap days, pero hmmm bumagal na sya at mahina na pumalo epekto siguro ng matagal na hindi paglalaro at pagtetrain

Kulang lang talaga sa ateneo is blocking lalo na sa middle.


Sa Malaysia hindi ko masyado napansin kasi magkakmukha sila lol

hindi magaling yung libero nila madaming poor reception and digs

Phil Army vs Vietsovpetro

ang ganda ng pinakita ng Phil Army nung 1st and 2nd sets good attacks, combi plays, good serves na may karga, hindi maganda ang reception at digs ng viets and they neutralize the two russians na magkahiwalay pa sa rotation.

Mayette C, ang ganda ng depensa nya at differential play nya, One time solid block niya yung running spike ng russian #15

RAD is unstoppable infront, may pagkamagulang magspike- off the blocks to swiping of the ball, ang dami nya napapalusot sa kamay ng viets. there one solid spike na baon na baon at kasunod ng isang solid block i remember nung 5th set na naghahabol sila, Energizer talaga sya, Darling of the crowd pa saka friendly sya sa malays at viets.

Bunag had a great game dami nyang powerful spikes from the wing, kasi open spiker naman talaga na converted to middle hitter. pero nag improve yung quick hits nya na madami din nagawang puntos at blocks sa gitna.

Michelle C, had a great points in her powerful spikes kaya lang nung 5th set bantay sarado sya naboblock na siya.

Salak had a nice passes and tosses kaya lang naging predictable na nung latter ng game

Torres had a good job being a libero

Nene B, latter na pinasok pero she had 2 great hits converted into point sa 5th set nung pinalitan nya sa Mich.

Nagrelax ang Army ng 3rd set ang dami nilang errors, errors after errors.


The Vietsovpetro team nung 1st and 2nd set ang panget ng receive nila at hindi makapagdig yung libero nila ng maayos. It's interesting din na yung russian #7 si Trenai hindi magaling mag receive at dig madami siyang errors sa pagreceive at pag dig kaya lagi sa kanya binibigay yung bola. ang lakas ng two russians pag nasa harap sila nung 3rd to 5th set mag kasama na sila sa rotation kaya hindi makapenetrate yung spikes ng Army. Yung #15 Martynova na russian ang tangkad na ang taas pang tumalon ang galing ng running spikes nya unstoppable talaga.

All in all Army had a great game kinulang lang sa huli. what cost them the most is their errors too much errors on 3rd to 5th set at syempre nabuhayan yung 2 russians sa latter part ng game naging super import sila. Pero kaya naman ng Army manalo siguro hindi swerte sa breaks of the game. So sad kasi I want them to win. Well ganun talaga bilog naman ang bola bawi sa susunod and hopefully champion na. Practice pa ng practice, It's great to know na pwede naman pala tayo makipagsabayan sa volleyball sa south east asia more exposure like this sa Phil. team para mahasa ng mabuti.

their attacks were unstoppable and their blocking was superb during the first two sets, (napapakamot nga sa ulo ang mga vietnamese as if they didn't know what to do anymore kasi talaga naman flawless ang laro ng mga lady troopers, even the russians are beginning to be disappointed dahul most of their attacks are being blocked and deflected)

but let's give due credits to the 2 russian guest players. vietnam would not have won if not because of them.

when they got their game going in the last 3 sets, wala na nagawa lady troopers. they were simply unstoppable kaya *** fifth set umabot ng 11-0, . naka-adjust na si Nastya sa blocking ng lady troopers kaya halos lahat ng attacks niya converted to points agad. malayo na sa net *** mga set sa kanya (galing din ng setter ng vietnam *** # 5 na lakas ng appeal at *** team captain nila na #10)

critical observations:

Daquis is phenomenal. She must really be in the national team. She was consistent the entire game. Vietsovpetro was not able to solve the RAD puzzle. Her spikes were fast and powerful. He blocks were commendable too.

M9 was excellent during the first 2 sets but was predictable in the last 3 sets. Pinasok si Bautista pero huli na and she's not in her usual devastating form.

Bunag was able to churn in some excellent strong spikes but she had her share of errors too.

Balse (being a UST fan) was disappointing. She had one excellent "as in payong" block to Katya but I really find her non-factor in offense and defense except on her serves which the viets had trouble receiving. She also had 2 errors in getting the 2nd ball coz she's already preparing for an attack. Medyo tamad na din siya mag-block.

Tina Salak was a genius. She's a real tactician. Ang daming extra points out of her on-court savvy. May mangilan ngilang errors but those were forgivable. For me, siya dapat ang best setter or the #5 setter from vietnam (I might strike a cord sa mga ADMU fans but i am just being objective)

Mayeth Carolino had her flashes of brilliance but that was during the first 2 sets. di na siya naramdaman in the last 3 sets.

All in all, the lady troopers were in their usual competitive form. I can feel that they really wanted to win. But those 2 russian imports were really too much to handle.

Philippine Army should be sent to the SEA Games nalang instead of our "national team". IMO, they're stronger and they've jelled well with each other na.

Though I really find Jem Ferrer amazing and her win is more than fine with me, in general, I think andyan talaga yung fault ng pagdedetermine ng Best Setter. Kasi nadedetermine naman yun through success rate or number of excellent sets. Hindi nate-take into consideration yung 'diskarte' nung setter. But I understand since mahirap naman i-quantify yung 'diskarte' eh. Mas malaking issue pa kung may 'diskarte' factor sa pagdedetermine ng Best Setter. =D
