[For someone] of that stature, established, ang galing talaga and for her to want to do a project with me, grabe talaga! I can’t explain how blessed I am for her to want to do a project with me and I want to thank her for everything. And [let her know] how excited I am to do this project.”

Itinanong naman ng Push.com.ph kay Sam kung worried ba siya kung magkakaroon ng chemistry between him and Juday dahil sila ang magka-love-team. Ani Sam, dahil sa madaling katrabaho ang aktres ay alam niyang makikita sa camera ang good working relationship nila. “We already shot the trailer and I think si Judy Ann kahit sino ang ka-partner niya, it doesn’t matter. Magsa-shine [ang ka-partner niya]. She’s so good, so easy to work with. Nagulat ako when we were shooting the trailer. Siyempre first time. She’s so easy to work with talaga and she’s so magaling talaga. Even the teaser pa lang, grabe tinreat niya lahat ng staff and actors to pizza. Magaan talaga ang trabaho at sa pakiramdam.”

Comeback project din ito for him and Juday. After his auditions sa US for some months, ito ang muling paggawa ni Sam ng teleserye. Ito naman ang muling pagbabalik-teleserye ni Juday matapos niyang manganak. Nakakaramdam ba ng pressure si Sam? “There’s always pressure in any project, hindi mo alam kung anong mangyayari. Kahit confident ka na, magaling ang palabas. You just never know ang reaction ng tao, lalo na sa movie, kasi sa movie people are paying to watch. With teleserye, it’s the same thing, it’s still pressure.

“But for me it’s less pressure for the fact na alam ko kasama ko ‘yung sobrang mahusay, na magaling na aktres. And powerhouse [cast] talaga. But with Judy Ann Santos it gives me more confidence not only because I’m doing a project with her, but because alam kong marami akong matututunan from her. But it’s also pressure because it’s our first time to work together. Not that I’m worried. If we’re able to work together, I know we can and we definitely be able to, but alam mo sa Pilipinas, uso ang mga love-teams.”

Wala palang dapat ikakaba si Direk Joey Reyes dahil maganda ang Mga Mumunting Lihim, ang first indie film niya at unang sali niya sa Cinemalaya.

Pulido ang pagkakasulat niya sa story at script at perfect ang cast, bagay kina Janice de Belen, Agot Isidro, Iza Calzado at Judy Ann Santos ang kanilang respective roles.

Ensemble acting ang napanood sa apat na aktres, walang nagpatalbugan at kitang nagbigayan sila at nabigyan sila ni Direk Joey ng kani-kanyang highlight. Like namin ang pagka-kontrabida ni Judy Ann na pinag-away ang tatlong kaibigan.

Aliw din kami sa lutong magmura ni Janice, sa pagka-maldita ni Agot at sa karakter ni Iza. Nagpasalamat sa kanila si Direk Joey dahil wala silang tf dito and for the love ang pagtanggap sa project. Umabot sa P3M ang budget ng movie, P500K ang galing sa Cinemalaya at ang iba’y nakuha sa ex-deal.

“ Si Judy Ann, nagtanong lang kung ano ang role niya at nang sabihin kong kontrabida, “go” agad ang sagot. Magugulat kayo kina Janice at Agot at magaling din si Iza,” banggit ni Direk Joey.

Personal film ito ni Direk Joey, inspired lang at hindi kuwento ng friendship nila nina the late Don Escudero, Manny Castañeda at gift niya kina Don at Khryss Adalia. Sa July 25, 9 p.m., ang gala night nito sa CCP Main Theater at part ng directors’ showcase sa Cinemalaya. May commercial screening ito sa August 22.

PAK: Nakahanda na si Judy Ann Santos na mabuntis uli. Ang laki na ni Lucho at napakakulit na, kaya tingin niya ay tama lang na masundan na ito.

“Kung ibibigay ni Lord, oo naman. Nakahanda naman ako eh kasi baka pagdating ko naman ng 37 baka mahirapan na ako n’yan,” bulalas ni Judy Ann.

“Okay lang talaga ang isa pa kasi tatlo kami eh. Mabuti ’yung ganun para kung kaaway mo ang isa, kabati mo ang isa. Ganun kaming magkakapatid,” natatawa pa niyang pahayag.

Okay lang kung boy o girl ang kasunod nila, pero sana nga masundan sila ng isa pa, at tama na ’yun.
