    hi paouee

i'm already 25 yrs. old. when i learned that i was preggy i felt "takot". like what u’re feeling right now. well, girl, you have to tell your parents about it A-S-A-P dahil you REALLY need help now that u’re preggy. They'll be mad of course, for the first 5 to 10 minutes. But after that, concern na sila sa yo. They'll be more excited than you will be, i'll bet. NOW is the right time. this is the time where you shouldn’t feel bad.

    You should always be happy!!

About “chippy”, forget about it for 9 months. Junk nga eh. Not healthy for the baby. anything you eat, think about your baby. drink milk. Buy folic acid (any local drugstore), you need about 600 mcg everyday (one tablet) plus of course, your prenatal vitamin. may OB ka na ba? important yan para ma test ka na.

Babycenter.com is the best website for expectant mothers (for dads too!) if you register, they will send you emails (every week) about what you can/ can’t do, how your baby develops, they have polls and the community center is great!!!

if u still have q's, don't hesitate ask. i may not know everything, but i can still help, im sure. clueless din ako about 6 months ago.

    have fun!

    ladies (paouee n xyndirit),

you should put yourselves in your parents shoes. try to think about it and how you would feel if your own daughter tells you that she is pregnant without the benefit of marriage. Your initial reaction would be similar to their reaction. In any case, you should tell ASAP because you need their support and understanding. Relying too much on your boyfriend who would have his own problems when he tells his own parents would put you on a disadvantage. And there is a nagging question : What if my boyfriend quits on me now? then what? Nothing is sure in life. You just have to be prepared for any eventuality.

Being pregnant is a lot of fun and lots of hardwork. i still remember when my wife was pregnant with our eldest daughter, we were all excited. I was concerned about her health and the baby's health. my wife was more concerned on the things she would have to buy for the baby. we did not let the doctor tell us the sex of the baby. we just wanted to surprise ourselves at birth and thank God for a healthy baby.

paouee: stop eating junk food. especially chippy, may salt content. baka at this early age, manasin ka at lumobo ka ng husto. try to think positive and of happy things. at this early stage, get a walkman or a discman and an earphone. place the earphone in your belly and play some soothing music. the baby will like that. and try reading to your baby. there are so many things you can do to your baby at this stage. first and foremost, take care of yourself. and pray a lot. hope all of this helps.

    hi jpljon

FYI: i'm happily married!!! i'm just saying na it caught us off guard when i learned i was pregnant dahil nga im taking the pill.

n-e-wayz, yeah im doing the walkman thingie cause i believe it'll make my baby "grow smarter" (a lot of people still frowns at this theory). i don't care...

it's good that you know these things (junkies 'n all that), a lot of dads are totally clueless with regards to pregnancy.

    hmn..you're a good man...

Hey preggies!! congratulations on your baby!

As a dad, I know all the shit that you guys are going through well, lemme give you some tips here-- first of all, when you deliver, you will have to choose between three methods---epidural, regular anesthesia, or normal. but it depends on the hospital. Trust me, YOU DON'T WANT NORMAL. It's as painful as fck and can cause you to pass out. Epidural is painless and quick but some sort of plastic needle will be inserted between your backbone and will hurt like you've never felt before!!!! but after an hour it's gone. The "regular" anestesia aint good either because your baby will be snoring when he gets out. (not good)
So do yourself a favor and take the epidural. TAKE MY WORD FOR IT.

To future dad(s)--- get those credit cards ready! You'd be paying TONS of bills that you've never seen before in your entire life. Also, you might want to stack up some coffee in the brewer CAUSE YOU ARE NOT GONNA GET SOME SLEEP ANYTIME SOON.. I would enjoy sleeping as much as I can right now because when your baby freaks out--lol all hell will break loose. FUN. LOTS OF FUN. Been there, endured that

and that's just the start of the fun!

Bet your husband has been getting some sleep all night eh? tell him he needs to enjoy it as much as he can. because when you have the baby, he better put some toothpicks between his eyelids because you will feed your baby every 2 hours. Yep. that means no sleep at all. FUN. LOTS OF FUN.

But you know what.. the best thing about having a baby is LOVE.. you know that feeling when you get home and he crawls to you with those eyes.... then suddenly you're not tired from work anymore! gotta love that feeling..

    Good luck to you!

    ALSO---

    1. when you claim him/her as a dependant, that means LESS tax to Uncle Sam.. how wonderful is that!!

    2. You can now file jointly. well I don't know about next year but this year, those who files separately will get $300 while those who filed jointly will get $600. Gotta love Uncle sam!

    3. But your insurance will kill you. (depends on your company and coverage) they will or they might include your baby. If they didn't, you will end up paying for his insurance.

    4. Minor hospital bills--- although most of this will be covered by your insurance (if you have one), you will still pay the remainder. My hospital bill is $1500. we're paying it like what---$5 a month?

    5. Gotta hit your local WalMart, Target, or Kmart and start looking for carseats, baby toys, clothings, etc

    6. tip lang--- DON'T BUY HIM TOO MUCH DRESS!! He will end up growing and not wearing some of them. YES they DO grow FAST.

    7. wach out when you're changing diapers--- watch out for those rashes because if they are left untreated, they can be really painful!!

ok i'm done typing. good luck and have fun with your baby!!!

    Exclamation

Sorry but I can't agree with the headphone/walkman thingie. I believe that babies have thinner eardrums than of us adults--yes, even if played at a normal lever, the SPL(sound pressure level) is strong enough to possibly damage their eardrums at such a young age. (I read it from Parenting Magazine)

But DO talk to your baby in a mild voice.

Damnit, I can't believe I know all these. Next thing that I should learn----cooking!

    hey :Ţ

thanks for the epidural note, i know for sure am getting that!!! (can't even stand blood tests!!!)

it's a good thing UNCLE SAM is taking care of me! ang mahal pala ng doctor's visit dito no? and i go there every 3 weeks!! golly!!

hey i checked out your forum..hmn..obvious clueless ka before ha? we have no problem with that...

question though: pano yung sinasabi nila na we can claim the baby when paying taxes? totoo ba yung makukuha din namin lahat ng nagastos?

    salamat..

jovhelle: Sayang naman leave days ng asawa mo! I hope baby cooperates and comes out today or tomorrow

avonlea: Nahihirapan ka rin ba bumaba ng hagdan? I couldn't see my feet when I was 8-9 months pregnant because my tummy was so big. Tuloy, medyo pa-side ako maglakad pababa ng hagdan.
