Option B since the transfer from the Central MRT station to the Tung Chung line entails a long walk.

If you read page 1, you would know your answer.

the Central station connections to Hongkong station requires a very LONG walk. So it is better to transfer at Laiking which is just across the platform or down a platform transfer only.

thanks for the reply. another question, i hope you don't mind. which has better choices of men's wear (quality, price) and affordable food outlets, lingham place mall or grand century place both in mongkok. Or advisable to see both places? thanks in advance.

  4. #4644
Unlike Manila, stores are not all inside malls and there's no 1 mall in HK that has everything you need.

If you want to shop you will have to walk around Mongkok because the shops are scattered. Langham Place is a very small mall with only a few stores including a small H&M.

Like what I said in Page 1, go to Tsim Sha Tsui for shopping. Harbour City, The One, K11, iSquare, Canton Road, Silvercord, Granville, Nathan Road, main street, side street, just go around the whole area because everything is scattered. Alternative is Causeway Bay which is another shopping district. Start with Times Square then walk around the district.

Walang 1 stop shop sa Hong Kong. Quality is based on the brand, not the mall. I will say it again, food is not a problem because restaurants are everywhere, both cheap and expensive.

Guys i need your suggestions. Will be going to hongkong on September 11. Will go straight to macau on our first day to spend overnight there. Here's my question, what will you recommend, riding a ferry from HKIA Skypier but the fees are more expensive compare to ferry from TST and Sheung Wan around hk253 compare to hk151 or sa TST na kami mag ferry para mas mura. Is there a cheaper ferry ride from skypier going to macau? Our flight will be arrived at HK by 9am. Pls help what is the best thing to do. Thanks

    Yes ok na yan.

This is the most popular restaurant for Claypot rice but it's always full so be sure to arrive early or dine when it's not lunch/dinner time: http://www.openrice.com/english/rest...ewlang=en%2chk

Steamed spareribs? All restaurants that serve dimsum should have this. If you're staying in TST, look for Chuk Yuen, Canton Deli and Very Good Restaurant for dimsum.

    BDO - Hong Kong Dollar

Hi! I just want to share kasi yung officemate ko bumili ng hong kong dollars sa bdo kanina.

Walang kahirap hirap daw. Though may account naman sya talaga sa BDO. Tumawag lang daw sya last week, sinabi nya how much and when nya kailangan. So by schedule po talaga.

Then kanina, ang hiningi lang daw sa kanya is PASSPORT and TIN Number and super fast lang daw. nag fill-up ng form and viola!

    Conversion is 1 = 5.40

Actually, kahit among major pinas bank can provide for your foreign notes as long as may account ka sa Manila. Nagkakatalo Lang talaga sa rates and BDO is one of the best rates for selling foreign currency.

    Hello!

I will be in hk before the month ends.
I will stay in my tita's house for a month(mag eexit na lang daw ako after 2 weeks).
school break ng 2 cousins ko so they will be my guide pag namasyal kami.

Ask ko lang kung may makukuha ba kong part time job dun? any job will do. Matagal tagal din yun 1 month eh.

    Thanks!

I highly doubt you can find work there with no work permit/visa. Kahit part-time, I would advise against it. It's risky and baka madamay pa ang Tita mo.

Sad to say, kung sa katapusan na ang flight mo, most likely most ticket prices are 2x the regular price na.
