    Question on HKIA:

Booked a return flight for next week HK-MLA, "redeye" flight.. 1:40 am departure HK, arriving MLA 3:40 am... pinakamura na sya, sobrang mahal ng ibang flights at fully booked pa. Ok na sa akin yang ganyang time kasi sanay naman ako na gising pa sa mga time na yun..hehe.. also upon booking i saw walang katao tao at super luwag ang airplane.. like!!

question ko lang for those who knows... open ba 24-7 yung ibang outlets (food and shopiing) at the HKIA or what time they close? para for those people like me getting these red-eye flights? Just curious.. will go to airport siguro 10 or 11pm.. then tambay sa HKIA.. ganda naman dun e...

tapos pag dating ko sa Manila.. 3:40am wait lang ako mga 1 hour or so para medyo 5-6am na so safer to go home and may gising na sa bahay namin pag dating ko..hehe

since nakatipid ako ng malaki for staying at Taisan instead of Hotel Benito, so sugod kami to Citygate for some shopping, bought lots of Giordano shirts, 3 sportshirt going just for 199, plus cash rebates of 100 for purchase worth 800, 200 for purchase worth 1,400 and a free Giordano bag for purchase of 1,700, so i watched helplessly as my wife and sons went berserk and scooped up Giordano shirts, a kababayan guy was also watching his wife scooping Giordano merchandise, our eyes met and he seemed to say " i feel your pain"
hahaha.. this made me laugh! i read this to my husband and when i was reading the bold part of your statement, he was already laughing, his only comment was "i know i will feel the same pain"

Majority of HKIA shops closes at 9PM and opens at 6am the next day. The best tambay place for me yung sa may departure area near a lounge na maraming lamesa. Sa tabi nun is a Starbucks shop at sa lounge maraming outlet kung sakali gusto nyo mag charge ng gadgets nyo.

Yes 24/7. Busy airport ang HKIA. Late din flight ko dati kaya ikot ikot muna ako, tingin tingin sa shops

Xyrwyn, spez is asking for HKIA Food and shops schedule where majority is not 24/7. HKIA (the airport) is 24/7

i understand the 1st part, the route is HKIA - Macau. for the second part, is it a must that we go Macau-HKIA route so we can pass through immigration or can we go Macau-Kowloon route and there's also an immigration office?

Macau - No plans of seeing Galaxy?
I want to see Galaxy too but I didn't initially include it because the itinerary might be too tight. I guess we can spend 1hr at Wynn then 1hr at Galaxy before we head home.

Day 5 - You can drop by Causeway Bay before heading to the Peak.
Okay, i'll include this on the itinerary.

    ****
Thanks so much for looking into this.
As far as I know, you won't pass any immigrations in HKIA. So technically your entry stamp will be in Macau and then you will enter HK immigrations in Kowloon and then exit from HKIA. You should get a total of 3 immigration stamps.

I stand corrected. Airport pala yung tinutukoy ko anyway, around 10pm to 11pm a lot of resto/fastfood & shops are still open in Terminal 1.

di ba dapat reimbursible yan ng cebupac?

Did you get the optional Travel Assure insurance (they ask this in the online booking... its mga 250 pesos lang, Malayan insurance. I always get it na lang bec "you'll never know" (Knock on Wood) Not sure if qualified yung ganyang mga kaso... i still think its the airline itself who should be responsible...

also naalala ko yung nadelay na flight recently bec of someone joking about a bomb onboard.. ayun kasalanan na ng ogag na yun, but i wonder how many people's lakads were delayed. Iba naman kasi if pauwi ka na sa pinas at nadelay ka lang, so maghihintay lang ang sundo mo.. iba yung excited ka ng simulan yung Travel Adventure mo in a diff country tapos nadelay ka pa dahil sa airline ...
i don't think the airline will refund/compensate for cancelled hotel bookings or paid tour due to flight delay, but i saw a group of caucasians raising their voices as they were talking to the cabin crew, may connecting flight silang hinahabol, all i heard were lots of shiiiiit, dammmmmn coming from their mouth and i think they were accommodated because they were ushered aside and when we left at 12;40 pm hindi na sila kasama sa flight namin.
i didn't get any travel insurance, tipid mode kasi
i've flown Tiger, Pal, Airphil and Zest, the longest delay i experienced were 2 hours at most courtesy of Airphil, kaya medyo na-shock ako sa 6 hours delay
kaya nga i read some legislators are planning to file a bill to address this flight delays/disruptions of budget airlines

yeah, it's nerve wracking when i mentally computed the total bill i'm going to pay x 5.75
but upon seeing the smiles and excitement of my wife and sons trying on those Giordano shirts and paglabas namin sa shop, i got tight and warm embrace, and kisses from my wife and bunso son, and thank you's and tap on the shoulder from my 2 older sons, it's sulit, it was well worth the price to pay

so tell your husband that although nakakanipis ng bulsa, nakakataba naman ng puso

Question lang po. First time in hongkong. Yun po bang CTS outlet sa HKIA, bukas pa? Malapit ba siya sa Bilihan ng octopus card? Ano po itsura ng branch para madaling makita? Thanks po sa magrereply

  17. #3837
^As far as I can remember sa halos far left na sya (paglabas ng arrival area).

^ Thanks sir for your input.
Another Question po: Balak namin Pumunta Ngong Ping thru Cable car. Yung Pila ba ng pagsakay sa Cable Car dun na din bilihan ng tickets? Kasi kung same lang, Dun na lang kami bibili instead sa CTS. pero kung hiwalay, sa CTS na kami bibili. Thanks po sa reply

thank you tinmuning, that makes it clearer for me.

thank you commoner as well, it would greatly save us time and effort. we will go the HKIA - MACAU and MACAU - KOWLOON routes then. i just wanted to make sure we get all the necessary stamps on our passports to avoid any inconvenience.

The lines are different. During weekends the lines for ticketing can get very long.
