What is your hotel in Macau?
Friday - Do an early check-out and head to HK. You won't be able to do anything decent with a few hours in Macau except maybe eat breakfast.
Saturday - Shatin is too far from Ocean Park. Skip Shatin. From Nanlian take MTR to Admiralty then bus to Ocean Park. If you want to see a temple there's Wong Tai Sin 1 station away from Nanlian.
Monday - Shops won't open until lunch time so just head to Macau early. Nothing to see in MGM and Sands. You can do Galaxy on this day or the next day.
I have lived in this city for my whole lifeIf you have questions, and if I know the asnwer, I could help you.
Hello fellow pexers! I would like to thank all of you in advance for your tips. It really has helped me in preparing for our HK Trip this April 24-29 wherein I will be staying in Taisan Harilela. Sadly I got a type 2 sprain in my ankle a few weeks ago and now I have the go signal from my doctor to travel but he asked that I should wear an ankle brace and use a cane for walking.
I would like to ask for some tips that you can offer for handicapped tourists when commuting or going around the city. For my visit to Disneyland I will be availing the RT transfers from a tour operator so I will not be using the MTR.
I would like to visit TungChung, NgongPing and Macau but I am afraid of the long walks in the MTR and in the ferry.
Hope you can help me![]()

Trip report April 17-21.2012
April 17
Cebu Pacific 7:10 am flight delayed due to mechanical problem, Cebu Pac sent in a replacement airplane, was able to leave at 12:45 pm, served us 1 piece chicken joy, 1 rice and a regular coke and lots and lots of apologies as dessert
arrived at HK late afternoon, Day 1 plan to go to Ngong Ping went pffft no thanks to Cebu Pac
just rest a while, unpacked, went to eat at Yung Kee and stroll around Avenue of the Stars and watched the SOL, foggy kasi may slight drizzle, super lamig
Taisan Harilela
nice and clean room and bathroom, but super super as in super liit quad room, para kaming bump cars when moving inside the room, no table, super cool split type aircon, tv and computer all in 1, one thin cushion as extra bed (5 kami), free toothpaste and liquid soap and shampoo
Enty (the Indonesian caretaker) is very friendly, efficient, industrious and accommodating
what i don't like is the elevators, i have seen old elevators, but theirs are really old, max 4 persons per trip, elevators ride start and end with a thud
but it's super cheap, 2,920 hkd for 4 nights, five pax
highly recommended as a place to sleep, when my mga maarteng sons saw it, they were disappointed initially as they compared it to our previous stay at Hotel Benito, but they realized later that it's ok pala kasi we always arrived late at night and just hit the sack, nice and clean bed with cool aircon made our sleep restful
April 18
went to OP, may bagong attractions Animal Kingdom, Sturgeon Aquarium (under construction pa when we went there 2010), nice weather kasi cloudy lang, no rain, konti pa lang tao sa umaga, all hell break loose when busloads of mainlanders descended upon OP before lunchtime. while we were standing in line waiting for the train to go up, an old mainlander lady behind us shoved aside my wife, then grabbed my shoulder and pushed me aside, walked to the still-closed automatic door barrier and started yanking at it trying to open it, my initial shock and annoyance turned to amusement, i just laughed it off.
mahal ang food, spend 70 hkd for a 2 pc chicken, fries and drinks meal
the nice thing about OP is that it kept on developing new attractions kaya kahit 2nd time na namin sa OP, enjoy pa rin kami.
went to the Peak at 5pm, we were warned that it was foggy and there will be no refund, we proceeded anyway and were rewarded with a foggy and super cold experienceand sarap ng feeling brrrrrrrrrrr
April 19
went to Disneyland, it rained and rained non stop till 5 pr 6 pm
bought disney kapote for 45 hkd each, sarado ang Golden Mickeyenjoyed the Phil harmonic theater, Winnie the Pooh ride, yun Toy Story maliit lang at puros ride lang, we loved the It's a Small World, ang cute, enjoyed the boat ride watching and hearing the songs (different languages) especially when we passed by the Philipppines booth, ang galing
April 20
To Macau
warning, don't buy from ticket peddlers that will approach you as you enter the China Ferry Terminal, we were in a hurry kasi late nagising mga anak ko, so as we rushed into CFT, 1 such peddler blocked my way and offered to sell us tickets (China Ferry Terminal to Macau Ferry Terminal) so we don't have to wait in line, since nagmamadali ako, pinatulan ko na, he also offered return tickets, open time daw, so pinatulan ko rin, it's only when we tried to return to HK at 7pm that i realized that the return tickets were Taipa to HK Macau ferry pier in Sheung Wan, that a**hole don't give a damn basta makabenta lang ng tickets
Aoril 21
To Citygate
since nakatipid ako ng malaki for staying at Taisan instead of Hotel Benito, so sugod kami to Citygate for some shopping, bought lots of Giordano shirts, 3 sportshirt going just for 199, plus cash rebates of 100 for purchase worth 800, 200 for purchase worth 1,400 and a free Giordano bag for purchase of 1,700, so i watched helplessly as my wife and sons went berserk and scooped up Giordano shirts, a kababayan guy was also watching his wife scooping Giordano merchandise, our eyes met and he seemed to say " i feel your pain"
return via Tiger Airway-Sea Air, left and arrived on time
score------Tiger Airway, a perfect 10 points
Cebu Air, a fat 0![]()
just curious, what if nasira nga lakad nyo bec of Cebupac delay? in your case, Ngong Ping trip? what if you had a PAID TOUR na namiss nyo bec of delayed flight? or cancelled hotel reservation bec of no-show (lalo na if more than 6 hours lets say delay nyo at di kayo sumulpot sa hotel) or other plans in your iterenary missed?
di ba dapat reimbursible yan ng cebupac?
Did you get the optional Travel Assure insurance (they ask this in the online booking... its mga 250 pesos lang, Malayan insurance. I always get it na lang bec "you'll never know" (Knock on Wood) Not sure if qualified yung ganyang mga kaso... i still think its the airline itself who should be responsible...
also naalala ko yung nadelay na flight recently bec of someone joking about a bomb onboard.. ayun kasalanan na ng ogag na yun, but i wonder how many people's lakads were delayed. Iba naman kasi if pauwi ka na sa pinas at nadelay ka lang, so maghihintay lang ang sundo mo.. iba yung excited ka ng simulan yung Travel Adventure mo in a diff country tapos nadelay ka pa dahil sa airline ...![]()
Day 1 - Why don't you take the ferry from HKIA to Macau directly? I'm honestly confused on how it goes.I' ve never been a transit passenger before. I'm reading the directions at this website: http://www.turbojet.com.hk/eng/airport/passenger.asp
i understand the 1st part, the route is HKIA - Macau. for the second part, is it a must that we go Macau-HKIA route so we can pass through immigration or can we go Macau-Kowloon route and there's also an immigration office?
Macau - No plans of seeing Galaxy?
I want to see Galaxy too but I didn't initially include it because the itinerary might be too tight. I guess we can spend 1hr at Wynn then 1hr at Galaxy before we head home.
Day 5 - You can drop by Causeway Bay before heading to the Peak.
Okay, i'll include this on the itinerary.

Thanks so much for looking into this.
