Our present day gods are just as cruel. The all-good and powerful god just sits on his throne masturbating while his creatures suffer the unbearable fate of joblessness, hunger, torture, injustice, crime, deformity, mental illnesses while he demands never ending praise. No matter how hard his subjects pray and plead to him to end all the suffering, he just sits up there in the clouds, dead silent, cold and uncaring, and the suffering just doesn't stop and his demand for praise and worship doesn't stop either. He demands praise every minute, every second of the day, till the end of time and beyond. All the suffering on earth doesn't even budge one inch. Corrupt religious leaders take advantage of our poor people's plight saying god is all-good then extort money from them. Religion, and/or promotion/preaching of the bible - that is the true and unadulterated evil.

What do I get in return for saying this? More religious bs and mockery without an ounce of good sense.

I think Jesus is sadistic. He preached love but ignores the fervent prayers of his followers. As you read this post, i am sure somewhere in our poor archipelago, there is a child sobbing in hunger as her desperate mother beseeches Him for relief. It is likely that a child somewhere at this time is dying in his father's arm of a simple illness like diarrhea or pneumonia while his disconsolate father tearfully begs Jesus for mercy. He promised that all they need to do is pray, but Jesus has a perverse preference of listening to Mommy Dionisia, Brother Mike, and the fat bishops. Like our dysfunctional economy, He blesses those that are already blessed. The blessed gets more blessed while the cursed gets more cursed. At one point, even Mommy Dionisia could not fathom what she had done in her colorful past to deserve all the windfall from Jesus. But now she is making up thru her frequent rosaries.

    Jesus is a sadist concept.

The above two posts just made me sad. How can religion lie blatantly to our face.

I always glorify the Lord when I fail in things, when I suffer an illness, lose a love one, when money is robbed from me, when I fail in my job, or in school, when I experience utter sadness, or utter pain.

I GIVE MY THANKS TO THE LORD and GLORIFY GOD!

the more I experience death, the promise of resurrection is made real.
and the more I lose things, I gain Christ!

This is what God wants us to experience, for us to enjoy Christ as our everything.

christians love to say that God is all and in all, that the Lord is everything to them.
yet when faced with difficulties, they forget to go to the One who is all to them.

blessed are those who suffer and yet cling to the Lord for comfort, their faith will be rewarded with Christ.
they could have asked Santa claus, or other deities, or men in power, but they go to the Lord because they know that even when all is lost, all is gained back through Him as Him.

You know what? Just SHUT UP. You are a brainless sadistic crackhead spreading lies all over this forum and obviously having fun watching the rest of the suffering world wallowing in despair while you are glorifying and thanking your imaginary friend because you are probably doing good in your life. What you say is an open mockery of the suffering of the poorest of the poor. They can't eat whatever you have to offer, miss! They can't eat the bible!! Look at that irritating smugness of your face. This Jeeeeezus thing is definitely an evil concept. Your Jeeeeeezus does nothing Señorita. All your prayers with your fellow believers DO NOT ABATE SUFFERING EVEN 1/10000000000 OF AN INCH and it's probably getting worse.

How can the sufferers be blessed? Only the demented in mind will say that. The blessed are really those who are RICH. MATERIALLY RICH. All their prayers are answered by Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeezus while the poor squatter rummages through all the filthy bacteria laden garbage collecting cans and cardboards for pittance. I'm sure many of them have prayed for relief, and I'm sure many of your kind have prayed for them. Guess what? THEY ARE STILL DIRT POOR, BEGGING IN THE STREETS, COMMITTING CRIME AND SNIFFING GLUE. All we ask for God is just a small miracle, to give them decent lives. That is not too much to ask with the infinite resources of your IDOL.

And no, don't sweet talk yourself out of this. You make absolutely no sense and it's sickening me to tears. I prefer the likes of you to disappear from this kind of forum and make your own where you can practice your idol worship all day and night.

Your god is no better than this idol.

you are simply appealing to emotion

even if we solve the world issue of hunger, poverty and environmental decay.
people will still lack and succumb to tears of pain, sorrow and discontent

    Al you need is Jesus!

God is all powerful and all problem solving for him should just be a flick of a finger. He can eliminate all despair if he wants. But no, HE IS DEAF DUMB AND BLIND.

As I said, JUST SHUT UP because all that comes out of your mouth is pure garbage.

Nothing unique about that attitude. That sounds like a lot of other brainwashed cult members who have been mindraped to accept perverted teachings.

Nope. This is not the God-does-not-exist argument. This is the God-is-focking-sadist argument.

Why was the ancient god cruel? People who made up this religion crap were more cruel too. They weren't into reasoning, they only knew coercion by the threat of pain was most effective for the masses.

Such ideas have been answered in the course of Bible Study. Unfortunately, these thought of yours have been amplified by comics strips of Ninoy Aquino who dismisses the Scriptures the same way you do.

The Prophet Esdras in a vision presented the same question how come God did not just create all people at once and then judge them once and for all time. He was lamenting on the destruction of Israel and its failure. God answered by declaring that the prophet is FOOLISH to even make this question.

God declared that creation is like a circle - gulong ng palad in tagalog. Creation cannot move faster than its creator.

I suppose the Truth is that mankind is author of its destiny. God created a Law that controls human relations which Moses names the Law of Knowledge and Life. Men have not honored this Law and this accounts for their sufferings and failures. They have chosen destruction over Life instead.

Why was God so cruel in ancient writings? The answer is simple. The brothers who descended from Jacob were cruel and this cruelty bore fruit. They suffered from guilt that they are special and even annihilated a whole tribe who made amends for the rape of their sister. The tribe of Jacob also had a false idea of becoming Master due to the blessing of their grandpa Isaac which Jacob supposedly got by trickery.

Thus, the guilt was carried on for generations and the Israelites doubted God who brought them out of Egypt, thinking that the desert affair was a form of punishment for the sins of their ancestors. Instead of atonement, the guilt of Israel prevailed in the desert. They doubted God's love and thought it was punishment, leading to the failure to enter the Promised Land instead.

Note that the brothers massacred their neighbor after their sister was raped because they felt they were special as a Master Race of sorts. If the Law of Moses applied in such case, then what happpened next was God's curse. The land promised to Jacob suffered drought and famine.

Next thing was the whole tribe who thought they were the Master, settled in Egypt where they became slaves only to be liberated by Moses' sacred mission for God.

Thus, right from the start in the book of Genesis, Israel is shown to create its history.

You are correct. The god of ancient writings are nothing but the fruit of cruel people.

That is not what I said. You really have to study Scriptures to understand what is written rather than depend on gossip and comments that cannot apply to the whole story or for each and every situation.

The Almighty God created the Law, and this Law governs mankind. Israel was stubborn and this elicited anger and punishment, as well as curse - which are in the Law.

But the God of Abraham and the Patriarchs is sincere in the promises He made - or that the Law also got provisions for faithfulness. Thus, from time to time, rescue happens due to the promise for the righteous acts of their ancestors too. God "owns" the descendants of Israel and when they are down and humbled, help comes.

The Scriptures pay tribute to the righteousness of Abraham, Jacob, Joseph, David, Solomon, etc. But it also shows the Law persistently working against the stubbornness of Israel. They are chosen but they are not exempt from the Law.

You have nooooooo idea what you are talking about. The law in the torah is strictly for the jews. not for mankind. the jews and your church both sees it that way.
