Kidding aside, it really depends on where you will eat. Based on our experience, our daily food budget per person is 20,000 won. Pero na-manage namin na nasa 10-15,000 won/pax/day lang kasi we share the bill. Three servings lang ang inorder namin + rice + 1 order of dumplings. Ang laki ng natipid namin, as opposed to ordering individually. Wala pang nasayang.

But definitely, mas mahal kumain sa non-Korean restos and fast food. A satisfying meal at Burger King will set you back at least 5,000 won. An order of jjampong at a hole-in-the-wall resto in Dongdaemun also costs 5,000 won, pero sa sobrang laki ng serving pwedeng dalawang tao ang mag-share.

Yung ibang food items will range from 1000 to 2500 won. A bag of walnut cake is 3000 won pero pramis, dalawang araw ata bago namin naubos.

Kimbap also costs somewhere between 1000 to 3500won per roll, depending on the filling (highly recommended ko ang tuna kimbap from Kimbap Nara ).
wow, super thanks fatgrrl_slim for the very detailed reply! big help! =]

My friends and I are going to Seoul on Friday!

Research for LMH's schedule and his agency's office. Visiting his agency is not a guarantee, though. Swertihan talaga yun.

I am staying in Hongdae.

Thank you!

eto na ba ang KOREA thread 2? mg-input na ako soon with my Busan and Jeju Trip. Kakauwi ko *** kaninang madaling araw

Malamig na sa Korea ngayon. Even in Busan and Jeju Island

Where are you staying? I recommend Elysee Motel. Yes its a motel but the room is awesome. It has its Jacuzzi and steam bath inside. You have your flat screen TV, with vcd/dvd player, refrigerator and water dispenser. Very good location its beside the Busan Tower or Yondosan Park. KRW 50,000/night good for 2 pax na.

You can start your tour at Nampo-dong area
    -Yongdusan Park
    - Busan Tower (entrance KRW 3000)
Other places in this are na di ko napuntahan
    - Gukje Market
    - PFF

then train to Haendae Beach, sarap mgswim dito. We rented tent for KRW10,000 for whole day na pero we just stay for about 3-4 hours due to limited time. Busan Aquarium is also here

then Gwangali Beach, maganda tama ng araw pg sunset. Png-photo op at yung lights ng bridge ganda kuhanan ng pics. Di ok mgswim dito.

then train to Busan Station nandito ang KTX. I suggest go there not later than 9pm or better reserve ticket na agad. We were late kasi inenjoy nmin masyado yung 2 beach kaya we ended up with the last train ride na 4.5hours waaahhhh!!! Para kaming ng-bicol express. hehe!

hi barbiesunrise! We will also stay @ Elysee Motel this Oct.
you think carry na namin mag DIY sa Busan? were planning to have the Busan City bus tour & *** Haeundae course or you think mas ok na kami kami na lang? must see po ba yung 2 beach? TIA

Thats good. Sobrang bait ng may-ari. actually you can ask him to book you for KTX. So ok na kami. Buti na *** ngaaccept ng credit card for the train ride.
I guess much better ang DIY kung hindi problema sa inyo ang pglakad ng malayo. Kasi may kalayuan din ang subway papuntang Hauendae Beach, same thing as Gwangali Beach. i dont know how to measure pero i think mga more than 500 meters or 1 km yata ang layo. hehe! Yung the fact lang na makasawsaw kami sa tubig at makita yung long stretch with full of mushroom tents kaya i wanted to see this beach. Pero since malamig na as in sandali lang kami naligo. at may shower din sa Haundae.

Oo nga mukhang mabait nga yung yung may ari he even sent instructions with maps & all kung pano makapunta sa place nila from Gimhae airport.
Bale sat. night kasi dating namin sunday na kami ikot then Mon. na kami mag KTX to seoul. Baka sakali rin kasi mas makatipid kung DIY instead of yung city tour bus. thanks!

Duon sa mga travellers either sa Seoul or Busan na gustong mag DIY but ayaw mag sacrifice ng hassles on taking the long walk and stairs ng subway, try to do it by the BUS,

Usually yung mga famous landmarks nadadaanan ng mga buses yan. you just have to familiarize yourself sa bus orientation. Mukhang mahirap sa simula pero pag na-familiarize mo na yung mga directions na nasa mga bus Stations you will realize na its not that difficult naman pala.

It is cheap and at the same time more convenient kasi hop-in/hop-out ka lang and most of the time, yung mga stops short walking distance na lang sa lugar na gusto mong puntahan. Ang isa pang added bonus dyan is makikita mo yung mga lugar na nadaanan mo and you can appreciate more, unlike kung nasa ilalim ka ng subway.

Korean bus system is designated by numbers, then yung route ng mga numbers na yun is nakapaskil sa mga Bus Stations. And as I said, kapag famous landmarks or places, it is written in roman alphabets and usually naka highlight siya duon sa routes.

bukas ng gabi na kami aalis!

Friends, saan kami pwedeng bumili ng Korean Won? wala kaming US dollars na pwedeng ipamalit eh. :S and for a 5-day stay, magkano dapat ang dadalhin namin? minimal shopping, excessive food and sightseeing. pero di kami mag-Jeju kasi mahal masyado.
