    2) culture at WF - malakas ba ang pulitika? I know politics is everywhere esp. in the BPO industry. I'm looking for career growth that's why I accepted a huge salary downgrade but I'm worried that I might be a victim again of vicious politics.

I'm no spring chicken I must admit. Marami na rin bang medyo senior na (in their 30's and up) sa WF?

    3) a rather shallow question - okay ba kumain sa pantry? what are the other affordable food choices at McKinley aside from McDo, KFC, and 7 Eleven?

    4) where is the exact location of WF's new building which they say is near Accenture?

Intellicare. I think coverage starts on day 1.

Baka nga - malay natin although I know job offers were offered for different batches kaya baka hindi ko rin siya nakasabay.

    1. You're right, business casual Mon-Thurs., pero hindi kelangan longsleeves, polo and polo-shirts are ok monday-thurs of course bawal ang maong..Here's what most of us don't agree though, during what suppose to be a "dress down day", BAWAL pa rin ang T-SHIRTS, pwede ka lang magsuot ng t-shirt kung may jacket ka, at kung babae ka naman dapat may shoal kang nakapatong sa t-shirt mo during the so-called "dress down day" dito.
I think I will survive the dress code if this is the case. I can't survive working without wearing a jacket. Madali kasi akong lamigin.

    2. I LOVE this company! Although bagong bago pa lang ang dept. namin (EFS - student loans), in fact start pa lang kami sa production tomorrow (Tuesday, since wala kaming pasok mamaya since Memorial day ngayon sa US), after 5 weeks of training and 2 weeks of transition. Pero so far, ok naman ang experience ko personally, siguro hindi ko pa masasabi kung malakas ang pulitika dito, pero since I'm part of the first 260 employees, I consider myself as one of the pioneer employees of WF, in fact yung OM at TL's namin dito nauna lang samin by 2 months, so kahit sila nangangapa pa sa process and they're also aiming for regularization, so in effect we're "all on the same boat".
Even the TLs and OM are aiming for regularization - aba, that means they can't just rest on their position kasi nga hindi pa rin sila regular. Hmmm.... at least all of us will be working for a common goal.

Voice support ang EFS di ba? Good luck and hopefully manageable ang queue.

KFC is at Venice Piazza.

    See you around.

I made it pala naman. They called me up. I love everything about WF but the offer. It's really disappointing. Atleast, that's how I felt. I want to think na it's just part of their recruitment strategy na babawiin nila yung offer and change it din like what I read from one of the response here at PEx but I doubt that. Anyway, lakas nila maka-emphasize ng "prestigious company" There's truth in that pero naniniwala din ako sa kasabihang "Aanhin mo and magandang image ng kumpanya kung butas naman and bulsa."

1K Transpo Allowance - OK. Considering their location at ng iba pang companies sa McKinley, ginto na and pamasahe lalo na kung male-late ka na at kailangan mo ang pinakamabilis na mode of transportation called "taxi" na mayroon na ring colorum na Php50.00 per head.

1K Meal Allowance - Meron na ba kayong nakitang Php50.00/meal with drink kahit saan sa Mckinley?

Okay, let's go over the benefits naman: HMO, check; PTO, check; maternity benefit, check; transpo, check; meal, check. Retirement plan na maaappreciate mo after 5 long years sa company. BOOM!

Anyway, I'm just venting out. Don't listen to me. I don't know kung meron pang iba na dedma sa benefits like myself at mas important ang basic pay. I know, I'm not alone na na-appraise ng oh-so-low. Anything below 20K from a financial account or from an international bank is unacceptable. Lalo na and below 18K at sobrang lalo na and below 16K.

Despite everything, I'm having second thoughts pa rin kasi 200 pa lang employees and it's better to work here kesa jobless. Masasayang ang time, effort and money that I already have invested kung hindi pa ko magstart. Pero hindi eh, I'd be wasting more time, effort and money if I continue. For me kasi, job is like marriage. You can't drop it like a hot potato.

Sa mga gustong maging employee, it's up to you. Therefore, up to me too. Gudlak sa job-hunting.

If you were applying for a post in our credit card dept (back office, email support), eh talagang hindi na ako nagugulat kung bakit mababa ang offer sa'yo or sa inyo. Since non-voice kayo... And I guess depende rin kasi kung saan ka mapupuntang dept.

Dahil in our case (EFS - Student Loans dept.), medyo mataas naman ang offer sa basic. Depende sa work experience, expected salary, previous salary at scores mo during your application.

Now with regard dun sa retirement plan, actually, maganda nga yan benefit na yan, iilan lang ang kumpanyang nagbibigay nyan at personally natuwa ako nung malaman ko na meron kaming ganyan, at kaya nga "RETIREMENT plan" ang tawag dyan, obviously ibibigay lang yan sa mga LOYAL employees na matagal nagtrabaho sa kumpanya. Kung ibibigay yan sa mga empleyadong nag-stay ng 8 buwan, 1 taon or 2 taon, hindi na retirement plan yan. so tama lang na AT LEAST 5 years ka na with the company to be eligible for it once you decide to stop working for the company.

Now, IMO, tanggapin mo na yung offer, as I've said in my previous post, there's a reason kung bakit MEDYO mababa sila magbigay ngayon ng basic and it was explained to us by no less than our expat boss..

WF is fairly new in the Phils. and they are basically taking a risk in investing here, and just like any other investor, they are very cautious since they don't have an idea whether it's gonna be financially rewarding for them. Gusto muna nilang makita kung kikita ba sila dito sa Pilipinas, which I think they would.

Very well said. Thanks for the info dude. Also, this is in-house and stability is given (it will just depend on the performance of these new batches for new LOBs). Nabanggit sakin yan ng final interviewer -- challenging but if you think of it, it's possible to get what we want.

Weird!

Nakakainis lang talaga mga immature people

Alam ko ang retirement plan, I just didn't think na magtitis ka sa maliit na sweldo for 5 years.

Thanks sa encouragement and I apologize if I offended you and lahat ng mga masayang nagtatrabaho dito. I just feel Pinoys deserve more. Plus, I'm a WF customer for years kaya I expect too much from them.
