It took me a while to find this thread. I LOVE this show.

I've adored Emily VanCamp since Everwood. So the minute I found out she was the lead, I decided I'd be watching it.

For those commenting on her "sweet image," I say it's perfect for the role. With her sweet exterior, people won't expect her to be vindictive. It makes her even more dangerous. The way she switches from a sweet smile to a sly smirk is great. I loved that face-off with Queen V in the 2nd episode.

kinda weird that the first 3 episodes, Victoria doesn't seem to be the one to be mastermind of this conspiracy. but after this 4th episode, she goes on becoming one.

David (amanda's dad) mentioned that he and Victoria were lovers, and she holds the key to prove he is not part of the conspiracy. but towards the end of epi 4, we saw Victoria sneaking in and taking David's laptop away. it's like their "affair" was nothing more but to get access to David somehow.

and having Amanda institutionalized? i thought she ended up with social services and having a foster parent or something. then she got out of some sort of juvenile detention center. coz she's already 18 and that she can leave the center.

According to EW.com, Amanda/Emily was 9 years old when the whole thing happened. The show has established it as having happened 17 years ago, so Amanda is now 26. The possibility of Charlotte beingher half-sis is still not out of the question. Although one error the got lost in the continuity is the age of Amanda's dog, Sammy. But I rather not think about it.

By the way, Queen V is already starting to connect the dots on Emily especially as how every one of those people who fell victim to Ems' plans all have met her before, many as far back as a year ago [spoiler start] (when she helped out at the senator's campaign with Ashley to being a client to Dr. Banks, etc.)[spoiler end]

How long, I wonder, before Victoria is able to put together all the pieces of the puzzle?

The latest episode was amazing. So many things happening. At least the revenge plot this time wasn't as formulaic as before. And everyone gets affected. This is really turning out to be a great show.
