There are a LOT of Euro friendlies this February 2012, so be ready with your Cable, TV and Satellite TV's as well
Some of this matches will be shown in Malaysia and Singapore.
I wonder if they will be shown in the Philippines
I checked that Cable TV's in Boracay have subscriptions to a Euro channel maybe because of the foreigners. Also some local CATV in some town's in Iloilo and Negros have as well. So how come Metro Manila did not even have one.
C'mon Sky, Destiny, Cablelink and Cignal! get one
my two favorite national teams in one group.
sana parehong umabot sa finals ang germany at the netherlands.
kaninong kamay ang nagbunot ng group b? esp has it easy. dapat talaga naghugas muna ng kamay bago ng draw
eng carry lang. kung sino mas magkakalat between the three lions and les bleus, sila tanggal lolz
Who has the local broadcast to the championships?
Wala sa Balls; baka AKTV
Worst come to worst only those DTH enthusiasts can get one,
Orient their satellite dishes to a Malaysian or Indonesian satellite
Di yata bebenta ito sa PPV sa pinas
AKTV covered a couple of matches sa UEFA Euro 2012 qualifiers. So kutob ko na baka sila na magcover ng EURO 2012. Also, I think Group C is somehow a Group of Death as well, with Spain, Italy and Croatia in there. Can't wait sa June! EURO fever again!![]()
Just noticed this article again and it seems na baka walang mag-cocover ng UEFA EURO 2012 dito sa atin.
http://www.abs-cbnnews.com/sports/03...n-media-rights
Code:"For the EURO 2012, only Hong Kong, Singapore and Myanmar have been granted media rights."
Not granted media rights means no coverage. The only difference is those granted with media rights has raw feed, so they have their own commentators
AKTV or any channel can pay or re-broadcast to an official channel in Hongkong or Singapore
Local CATV's will have this and not those big one's
Imagine ha Myanmar has rights; considering eto yung nahihirapan tayong talunin sa football; promoting the sport to the nation thru media is also key to national interest
Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia have been granted media rights as well
Media rights to Euro 2012 is sold on a per-country basis so regional channels like ESPN/Star Sports can't carry the tournament unless they restrict it to a certain country/territory
With sports events like the Euro/Olympics/World Cup media holders are prohibited from re-transmitting their coverage to third parties (as the rights are sold on a per country basis as above) so Balls/AKTV/Solar Sports will have to negotiate (and pay) with UEFA directly if they want to have coverage of the Euro 2012 tournament, with either a "raw" feed (provide own commentary and on screen graphics) or a package deal where UEFA provides the default on screen graphics and english-language commentary.
Live streaming will do for others
Yes! RCTI has coverage, RCTI is using Telkom1 same location of NSS11. We will shoot for that bird and watch
what? sayang iinitiate ko pa naman girlfriend ko sa pagpupuyat para makanood ng live football. the farthest that she got so far was the azkals' middle east tour. pero mas hardcore parin ang gising ng 3am para lang manood ng football![]()
That's the beauty of Sky Cable's iRecord box: you can set it to record those late night/early morning matches and watch it when you get up in the morning or at your convenience (just avoid going online or watching the news till then to avoid spoilers)
But seriously, it looks like Pinoy football fans will miss out (again) as no local media outfit has been granted broadcast rights by UEFA so everyone will have to do with live streams or satellite reception of Indonesian/Vietnamese DTH services![]()
