Carles Puyol got injured during training so he went back to Barcelona. Puyol could be out for three weeks. Nacho Monreal was called up as a replacement.

Other members of the World Cup winning squad who have been left out of the national team this weekend are Raul Albiol, Javi Martinez and Juan Mata. Albiol is still recovering from an injury he sustained while training with the team in South Africa. Martinez and Mata have been selected to play for the Under-21 football team.

Santi Cazorla returns to the national team after having been left out of the World Cup. He was part of the selection that won the 2008 European Cup.

Germany will win this. A more mature team, a healthy Adler, Toni Kroos fulfilling his potential and Schweinsteiger being the midfield general.

May Pinoy blood kaya si David Silva?

Right now, England-Bulgaria is being shown on Star Sports.

David Villa scored his 44th goal for Spain, and is now tied with Raul as Spain's all-time leading goal scorer.

so, Defoe is having a blinder when it comes to international

  19. #19
Apparently, FIFA adjusted David Villa's goal tally for Spain. His goal in the 6-0 win against Poland has been classified as an own goal by a Polish player. He's back to 43 goals, 1 less than Raul's total.

    weeehhh

the 2 Davids - Villa and Silva each scored a goal to add to Fernando Torres' brace for Spain's 4-0 win against Liechtenstein..

its great to see them playing together again, even just for Spain's football team..
