I am going to be refraining from replying to hateful & hurtful messages. I don't like that they bring out the worst in me. I am upset at myself for replying even to mga walang kwenta naman na tweets. I don't regret defending KC but I should've stuck to what was relevant or connected to it, the issue having started w/ someone in ABS-CBN. Isang tao at iilan lang naman sila, hindi the whole station where I still have good friends and true kapamilya forever wherever I end up, including my top bosses. I want to say I wish manhid ako, but the truth is I am not. When someone is mean to me for no reason, I want to be meaner to them. And then I feel bad about myself kasi I stooped down to a level I never should have. I am just sad that this generation is so different from ours before, in terms of respecting other people & choosing our words so as to not offend anyone who's never done anything bad to us. With great technology comes great responsibility. Sadly, great technology is available to all kinds of people. I am sorry if I have offended anyone well-meaning & supportive of & loving towards me by some of my replies to those people. I am, after all, only human as well. And while other stars have people handling their twitter accounts for them, I do not. I love my fans but unfortunately, di maiwasan minsan makabasa ng tweets na nakakagulat at masakit. Thanks so much for following me here. God bless you all. I'll just be tweeting u every now & then. Pls understand I won't muna be reading tweets all the time. Love you all!

Pagsasanib-puwersa ng GMA7 at TV5 ‘di nakaaalarma sa ABS-CBN!
by Walang Kiyeme/Peter S. Ledesma May 26, 2012
How true? Sana, lang magdilang anghel me gyud! (Hahahahahahahahahaha! I hope so, too! – Ed)

Sharon’s talk show is a loquacious, bodacious lulu
By: Nestor U. Torre
Philippine Daily Inquirer
May 25, 2012 | 10:21 pm
We weren’t around when Sharon Cuneta launched her new talk show on TV5, but we made up for lost time by catching it when we got back. As pluck and luck would have it, the telecast turned out to be a loquacious, bodacious lulu, featuring a long interview with Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago, who regaled televiewers with her feisty ripostes, colorful anecdotes, and signature sesquipedelian verbal flourishes—and skirmishes.
Sharon was delighted to see her sassy, brassy guest in top form, because it meant that viewers would keep watching her daily (4:30 p.m.) show from start to finish. To the program host’s credit, however, she gave as much as she took, and the sight and “zounds” of two celebrity icons in full synergistic and symbiotic froth, flair and flail made for a memorable viewing hour that the competition would be hard-put to match, let alone beat.
It was also good to see that the host had done her homework, citing highlights of her guest’s career, life and idiosyncratic persona, which Santiago acknowledged—and proceeded to verify and vivify with choice and tart examples, her unique way of talking and thinking.
Connection
On the debit side, the interview was sometimes too entertaining, briskly and efficiently going from one sure-fire audience-pleaser to the next, without sufficient connections being made for the whole hour-long exercise to leave viewers with an integral view of Santiago’s unique ethos and persona, beyond her “full-performance” feistiness.
The interview was also too much of an unstinting love fest, with Sharon focusing almost completely on the sweet and sassy side of her famously sweet-and-sour guest. As a result, the more informed and updated viewer was kept perpetually waiting and hoping for the contrary revelation that would make Santiago emerge as the multilayered and even occasionally contradictory public person she is—not to mention her private “secrets,” which were hardly touched on at all.
Happily, we did get some details about Santiago’s “surprising” interest in religion and spirituality, which has made her take formal theological studies at the graduate level. This is the “other” Miriam that we yearn to know and understand better, because the new insight leavens and provides a fresh and telling contrast and context to her all-too-predictable verbal bravura.
On Sharon’s part, we evinced a desire to interact insightfully with her guest of the day so that viewers could get vivid and telling “life lessons” from the exchange. She succeeded in this endeavor, apart from the occasional tendency to make the proceedings too giddily, frivolously “entertaining,” for TV ratings’ sake.
She should also learn to be less of a total fan of her interview subject, so a more balanced and distanced portrait can emerge.
To achieve this better, the program host should remind herself that her viewers’ welfare is more important than giving her guest a psychic massage by praising her to high heavens. With a few other tweaks here and there, Sharon’s new show should do just fine!

Simple truth.

Unthinkable for Zoren Legaspi to work with BB Gandanghari
By: Dolly Anne Carvajal
Philippine Daily Inquirer
May 23, 2012
Ruffa Gutierrez and Mariel Rodriguez will be leaving for the United States to attend TV5’s grand launch overseas. Guest cohosts will be pinch-hitting for them in “Paparazzi.”
Last Saturday, Mariel told me that BB Gandanghari wants to substitute for her in the show while she’s away. So Mariel teased Zoren, “OK lang ba sa ’yo to work with BB?”
Zoren was dumbfounded. From the look on his face, I think it’s unthinkable for him to be seated next to BB (formerly Rustom Padilla, ex of Zoren’s wife Carmina) even just for the sake of the show. Even if Zoren is professional enough, the BB issue is something too personal for public consumption.

Shalani Soledad Still Elusive About Her Departure From 'Wil Time Bigtime'
By ROWENA JOY A. SANCHEZ
May 25, 2012, 3:55pm
TV host-politician Shalani Soledad remains evasive about her controversial departure from "Wil Time Bigtime." At a recent press conference, the Valenzuela councilor did not directly answer queries about her alleged disappointment when she was supposedly removed from the show led by Willie Revillame.
“Of course, there are some things that happened na hindi mo naman din inaasahan, na hindi mo rin naman gusto. But then, you also have to move on. Kasi, that’s how life goes," said she.
Shalani would rather look at the positive side of things, to "try to accept changes in our lives and we always look forward and always hope for the best."
Last January, Shalani bid "Wil Time Bigtime" goodbye—supposedly temporarily—as she and Pasig representative Roman Romulo prepared for their wedding. She had likewise assured that she would return to the show after their honeymoon. However, rumors cropped up around February that she was pulled out from the primetime variety-game program. One of the purported reasons was because Willie could no longer tease her since she's already married.
Shalani hasn't spoken to Willie since her exit from "Wil Time Bigtime." She also seemed non-committal about ironing out whatever supposed misunderstanding she had with the controversial TV host, simply expressing her gratefulness to the show and her colleagues.
“Wala naman… Wala naman akong ibang masasabi sa 'Wil Time Bigtime.' They have been my family also… Kung hindi rin naman sa 'Wil Time Bigtime' ay hindi rin naman ako mapupunta sa TV5 at hindi rin ako mapupunta sa television," Shalani related.
She nevertheless looks forward to sharpening her hosting skills via the Sunday noontime show, "Game 'N Go." Acknowledging her perceived lackluster stage presence, Shalani managed to kid, "Nakikita niyo naman talaga kung gaano kataas ang energy level ko."
“Of course this is me. I will also try my best, sabi nga, to level-up. Because I will be working with the premier hosts of our country. So, I will try my best. Kung may Mr. Pure Energy (Gary Valenciano), mayroon ding Ms. High Level Energy ang TV5, ako po iyon," she added with a laugh.
Shalani will co-host "Game 'N Go" with industry veterans Joey de Leon and Edu Manzano, along with Arnell Ignacio and Gelli de Belen.
