As usual, tama na naman si Sir Than na magpapa-draft nga sina Hodge and Ellis.
Nice! dami talented players this '12 draft class!
Who are the top 3 best shooters in the draft?
I'd have to say Tiu, Alvarez, and Mallari in no particular order. Lanete should be in the mix.
Hodge, Ellis join PBA draft
Rey Joble, InterAKTV · Thursday, July 5, 2012 · 5:39 pm
Filipino-American prospects Cliff Hodge and Chris Ellis submitted their applications for the upcoming PBA Rookie Draft on Thursday.
The duo helped the NLEX Road Warriors to three straight PBA D-League titles and were part of the Sinag Pilipinas national squad that won the 2011 Southeast Asian Games basketball tournament.
Hodge and Ellis earlier planned to skip the draft to be part of the SMART-Gilas Pilipinas national program, but encountered eligibility issues because of tighter FIBA restrictions on foreign-born citizens.
“It’s ideal for us to join the draft because we can serve the national team anyway even if we join the PBA,” Hodge told InterAKTV.
“I think this is the best time for us to move up to the PBA,” added Ellis. “We’ve won three championships in the D-League with NLEX, but we felt we can improve our skills further by joining the PBA.”
With the entry of the Hodge and Ellis, the upcoming draft figures to be a deep one. Earlier, top D-League players Alex Mallari, Keith Jensen, and Vic Manuel have also joined the pool. Other marquee players who could end up joining the draft include 6-foot-10 San Miguel Beer center Junmar Fajardo, former SMART-Gilas captain Chris Tiu, and San Sebastian star forward Calvin Abueva.
