lol @ Pinoys worrying about US unemployment rate.

Fake Unemployment rate here in Pinas is artificially low. REAL unemployment rate can be deduced from the THOUSANDS of pinoys who want to leave the RP every day.

    Just to share my thoughts:

I guess hindi rin natin masisisi ang marami sa ating mga pinoys because the employment scheme in the US is different from ours. We are being paid here (mostly) on our rate either per day or per month. While in the US, per hour...kung susumahin mo, malaki nga yung difference..Your efforts and hard work are being paid minsan, twice as much as what you can get here..

Plus, blue collar jobs here - hindi naman ganun kataas talaga ang rate ng sahod dito, while pag sa US, yun ang mataas, kasi kokonti lang sa kanila ang may gusto ng blue collar jobs..

Not to mention our taxes na kinakaltas sa sahod natin..let's say pareho na lang ng kaltas, pero yung napupuntahan ng tax natin, wala kang makita..obviously, sa iilang nasa gobyerno ang nakikinabang..while in the US, magbayad ka man ng tax, you know that you will benefit from it --i.e, roads, hospitals, schooling for your children, pension, etc. etc.

For sure kung maganda ang benefits natin out of our taxes and kung mabibigyan naman tyo ng magandang rate out of our jobs here, hindi na siguro maghahanap pa ang ilang kababayan natin ng jobs elsewhere, even US..

If you know that you are capable to work and have a qualification apply and searching for a sponsor is very easy.

Despite the fact that the U.S. economy is still suffering from the Great Bush Recession, some U.S. companies are still hiring because of turnover.

For those Pinoy nurses who have passed the NCLEX-RN and who want to work in the U.S., I would suggest researching long-term care (LTC) facilities like nursing homes, retirement homes, and assisted-living facilities.

I'm no expert (my Pinay wife is an RN in an LTC), but I understand that those are the places where foreign nurses will find RN jobs available...not the hospitals nor the medical centers (unless you have a lot of experience).

If you're here in the U.S. on a tourist visa, and you're prospecting for jobs, I believe the LTC industry is a good place to focus your limited time and energy.

Best wishes to all Pinoy nurses.

I agree with you. Some people think if you will be able to work in the US or any foreign company, you'll achieve everything you want in life, especially when it comes to financial stability. No matter where you are, its always your ability that will lead you on what will you become.

You are right! The burden of finding the greener pasture is not determined by location. It is rather by recognizing your potentials, skills and capabilities and put it in optimum use. Wherever one may be contributes little to success. It is when one is willing to do what others think is impossible can he truly master the art of reaching for his goals and be successful

    Add Ako

You have stated several legitimate points. Pwede makisabay ako ng pagsigaw... sige pagkalabit nalang sa ating namumuno, na ayusin naman ang ating labor laws at pay standards nang di naman tayo nahuhuli sa ibang bansa. At tama ka. There is truly a need for sincere concerted effort from government to use our taxes where it must be.

I agree! But may I add.... ability + hard work + perseverance + right attitude + discipline + faith in God = SUCCESS

I wonder! Is crab mentality all that negative? Isn't survival of the fittest a show of courage and determination? That is a positive attitude. Then again, why fly like an American Eagle when one can soar like the Philippine Eagle. Peace!

Kung alanganin abilidad mo dito sa atin para mag compete sa kakaunting employment opportunities, maybe the only option left is really to just leave the country and find that basket of gold somewhere else.
