Josan Nimes of Mapua Cardinals, he played point guard during his stint in Phoenix College, may handles din. He is 6'2 or 6'3 din at most.

Kung posible lang sana(pero nagpauna na ako-IMPOSIBLE ito), madali maresolbahan ang kakulangan sa height ng backcourt ng NT kung papayag magpahiram ng players ang PBA .At ang ipapahiram for two years will play for NT alone.Talagang liliban sila for 2 or 3 years.

I say he's the local version of Darius Miles.

Hindi ko alam kung takot tumira si Japeth or nasa sistema ni Toroman na wala siyang go signal na tumira, dahil may games si Japeth dati lalo na yung huli siya umiskor ng malaki ay yung unang game ata nila sa Jones Cup(as far as I can remember).

For me, the jury is still out there with regards to Japeth's offensive skills. Defensively though, he is a monster.

The most logical starting PF for a national team besides Aguilar would be 6'6"-6'7" Jay Washington. He has both post/inside and outside game. Very athletic like Aguilar.

  6. #286

Aguilar actually showed glimpses in his outside shooting before. But Toroman I think wants him to be an inside threat rather than outside. He lacks off the dribble and even back to the basket offense. But shooting-wise, if he works on it more, might rival on what Yi Jian Lian is doing.

For me it's ok if you hog the ball as long as you make sure that you can score. Hindi katulad ng ibang player tulad ni Caguioa, that in recent years puro porma, puro dribble hindi naman maka iscore consistently, lalong lalo na pag international game. Same with Sol Mercado, who is very inconsistent in his shooting and penetration.

Legit 6'7" naman sina Rabeh and Thoss. Parang Ben Wallace na 6'7" and 6'8" Hedo Turkoglo na 6'9" and 6'10" ang nakalista sa NBA.com.

I think that's a perfect example for Japeth, except that Japeth is also a better weak side defender, rather than a one on one defender.

The thing with Japeth is similar to Gabe. They have everything to become a star in the PBA and yet, they remain passive.

  11. #291
Japhet is not passive unblike gabe you can be a pba all star even if you are passive mountains of difference between passive and TENTATIVE

so ano itong pagkkaintindi ko sa situation ni Rajko the position of consultant is reserved to you, but you are free to find better job somewhere else

  12. #292
I hope they get Stanley Pringle and Chris Banchero to alternate at PG sopt for 2013 FIBA Asia and then develop Kiefer Ravena to succeed them after.

  13. #293
Pringle and Banchero are both athletic 6'1 natural PG's.. a big upgrade from our current PG's

They also should naturalize a younger version of Douthit who will be 33 by 2013

  14. #294
Gabe is actually a natural PG. Even though he's 6'4"-6'5", he doesn't score that much because he doesn't really play that way.

Pero when I learned he played PG in the US, then I realized he has the mindset of a PG. Whether he's a good or a bad point guard is a different story all together.

First of all, Gilas shouldve beaten Jordan. Then Korea. We had the chance. and that's all we had.

We beat Jordan during the Elims. Losing to them in the semis clearly says Gilas was over confident and complacent.

Now, losing to Korea is BIG!
Remember tides turned into our favor during the competition.
IRAN was eliminated, we didnt face China in the semis.
All we had to do is, MAINTAIN THE LEAD UNTIL THE LAST BUZZER SOUNDS! against Korea.

You know what really annoyed me, was that guy MIKO HALILI!

I remember during the Chinese taipei match, he was speaking so SUBECTIVELY about the game. He was like watching the game in his own sofa while talking to a personal friend while drinking beer.

HE jinxed us. Yes, I am a religious person!

I learned this from my Father,
"Never celebrate early!".. play consistent basketball until the last BUZZER sounds!" especially in amateur games..

Together with my father, from my elementary to present, I have seen teams losing even when leading a BIG MARGIN during the 4th quarter.
(MOST RECENT EXAMPLE: NBA Finals Heat vs Mavs GAME3... remember Lebron and Wade chest bumping together w/ the rest of the heat players? )
    yes, that's the one.

How can one Korean basketball player, shoot 15 points in the 4th quarter???
shooters dont miss, unless being guarded TIGHTLY, locked down, or even a hand in the face.

    Filipinos often get excited PRE-MATURELY!
the reason for the relax defense in the last 4 minutes of play...

oh and MIKO HALILI? go back to College! you're not supposed to do that on NAtional TV. MORON!

  16. #296
We cant afford a 3 spot who cant shoot on the outside consistently!
ex: Kelly Williams (not even good at making FREE throws )

Kelly is a solid player, if he goes in, the position 4 should atleast have a mid range jumper.

the only mistake TOroman did, was to put Williams in during a -free throw battle- minute of the game.

He doesnt even look good shooting the ball man.. he should have a Shooting COach, like Dirk.

we should consider dex pittman to be our future naturalized center, he was a dominating big man in the BIG 12 conference with the texas longhorns, but he just cant find his niche in the nba(the miami heat is considering giving eddy curry a chance ) just like douthit, 6'11 300 pounds

he is considering jumping to the euroleague if the lockout doesnt end

There's also Jerome Jordan, Hassan Whiteside, Chris Johnson, Marcus Cousin and Jermario Davidson to name a few whom are young and talented.

Amen. I don't like Miko Halili too. JINX nga tawag ko sa kanya. Pag siya ang commentator nabuburaot ako.
