"get that ball" an official cheer of UE?
ateneo was using get that ball since i can remember. during the 2002 gec chia shot game against ue, you can clearly hear ateneo crowd cheering "get that ball" while ue was cheering "defense".
further, i distinctly heard san beda's indian chant song (the melody) being used by ue this season.
Don't get me wrong. When I said official cheers, what I meant was cheers included in the routines of the pep.
I did not say "original" cheers. Kaya nga pina-alis na namin.
Don't beat a dead horse na please.
I distinctly heard La Salle play this drumbeat vs Ateneo.
I'm sorry if I started it. But this is off topic and ought to be cut right away.
I don't think an apology is in order. Returning the borrowed cheers is by itself a magnanimous gesture already.
Yes. UE stopped cheering Get That Ball and even Go UE (i think). I just replied because I felt Milo96 was wrongly corrected and the use of the word "official" was misleading.
in fairness to the UE crowd, they didn't mass evacuate during the blowout game against NU. i can't say the same about other schools.
-Get that ball (Similar to Ateneo cheer)
-GO UE (Similar to DLSU cheer)

there's one cheer from UE (the one with Fight! fight! fight! fight!) that sounds eerily similar to an overspeeding go uste. complete with the hand gestures. Anyway, I think that must be discussed in another thread.![]()

I would really like to hear it again (live) to clarify if my perception is indeed incorrect, however, I'm not from UE so I guess it would be impractical for me to watch the games (live) during weekdays.
anyway, as i've said, this issue should be discussed somewhere else instead of here. And i'm not presenting this as a form of an argument but rather an observation.![]()

Last post ko to for this out of topic issue.
Last na din itong post ko regarding sa sinasabi mo azgauth sa "eerily similar sounding" na "Go! UE Warriors!!" sa "Go Uste!".
Go-Us-te!(fast) vs Go-UE-war-riors!(slow).
Dyan pa lang, hindi mo na maipapasok yung tono ng "go uste" sa "go ue warriors"
3 syllables vs 4 syllables, di pwede. Tapos sa tempo hindi din. Mas mabilis ang "Go Uste!"
Eerily similar sounding. Hindi mo pwedeng gawing issue yun.
Speaking of eerily similar sounding, eto bigyan kita ng sample pakinggan mo muna yung unang kanta tapos pakinggan mo yung intro ng pangawalang kanta:
All or nothing ng O-town vs Drowning ng Backstreet Boys.
Sorry sobrang off-topic na.
