    (1) Brush up on your english. Important ang documentation. If it is not documented, it is not done. Medyo mahaba ang nilalaan na time for Understanding and Test of Controls.

    (2) When starting on your first engagement, ask for the Prior year's Audit File. Dun mo ibase yung iba. What I do is Import the old Prior Year Files and update na lang.

    (3) Brush up on excel shortcut skills. Time is everything.

    (4) And lastly, don't sacrifice quality. Quality above all. f7 bago magsubmit ng workpaper sa Senior.
I like the F7 part! Hehehe.

Brief documentation is effective, unless your senior or manager wants to read a novel. Hahaha.

    Hi everyone,

Just want to ask for advice. I was interviewed last two weeks in Isla Lipana but was only told to keep my lines open for their feedback. I was interviewed before Holy Week but until now, I haven't received any feedback from them. What will I do? Can I make a follow up? Any advice pls. I've working for three years already but I really want to work in Auditing firm.

    Dear Leonardo Di Capricorn,

This is my advice, assuming you're still in a private company

For one, drama has no place in audit; you'll find yourself face to face with the cold as stone people in those firms <I should know, I've met a lot of them>. Your life is not wasted; you've been working for only a year <or make it almost-two-years> for crying out loud.

What you need to do is man up, face your fear and take action. By this, I mean go on strap a pair (of balls obviously) and take exams and interviews with auditing firms if that's what you want. Do not wallow in self-pity that you've spent a year in private companies becuse honestly, it doesn't help.

    Keep us posted

Hi Sir Larry, first week of May na po but still have't received a call from them. What do I need to do? Is it right to make a follow up or do I need to wait? If I will wait, until when?

I'm not familiar how long the hiring process would take, just shed me light on this so that I will not worry anymore.

Next hiring will be after the release of the May board exam results, make that month of June. Good luck.
