^ In my case, I had approximately two weeks training (including the orientation sessions) prior to reporting to my Senior back then and Boss.

Here are the usual tasks I did during my early months with the Firm.
    1. Photocopy
    2. Get printed materials from the printer
    3. Foot and Cross Reference Financial Statements - this was my very first task after my training
    4. File working papers (prior period / current - interim)
    5. Vouch
    6. Vouch
    7. Vouch................................

I was hired during the month of November 20XX and it was only in February/March of the following year that I had more challenging tasks. Gipit na sa oras minsan so you are expected to step it up lalo na pag malapit na ang deadline. It's not farfetched if you will be asked to draft the FS and/or the ITR during your first busy season.

After passing nalang po, I'll try na mag-apply ulit or ifollow-up sa SGV..

tnx for the information. I'm so worried that the senior auditors will give me complicated task right away. I have difficulties kc s mga standards as of now I'm still trying to recover those knowledge that I've lost while working as an internal auditor..

Ayos. Sana mahire ako this month. Ok naman ang umpisa. At least hindi agad nakakapressure. Well good luck sa lahat ng kagaya ko na nagkamali sa unang landas na pinili. This is the right time to make it right.

Hindi pa. My final interview pa ako. I'm not sure kung Manager or Partner ang magiinterview sa akin. Pero I think positive. After that interview, they will hire me. I don't know on how long I'm going to wait after that interview. Good luck sa mga requirements. Unahin mo NBI clearance. Hehe

Guys, what's next to SGV in terms of client base? Thanks.

Isla Lipana/PwC.

    Client base imo

    1. SGV/EY
    2. ILC/PwC
    3. P&A/GT
    4. MSC/KPMG
    5. MDA/D&T

Although SGV has by far the lion's share of everything, which may or may not be a bad thing for you if you go to other firms. For example, Deloitte here has generally big clients, 1/5 of their firm is servicing only one client for example (P&G).

The pros are, you will probably get to service a big multinational corporation if you go to any of the other Big 4 (and P&A to a smaller extent) which is not an experience all people in SGV have. The cons are, as a staff you'll probably only do one thing for the whole of your first busy season, like audit receivables or something.

Unlike in SGV where they have all manner of clients big and small, that most probably you'll get a small one in your first year where you have to do everything up to the financials and tax returns.

    Hello guys!!

Just want to share my experience last busy season.. Hehe.. I was able to handle four clients in various industries: manufacturing, retail and real estate. In terms of work, overload!! Hehehe. I was able to do the substantive procedures of all cycles of the manufacturing and retail clients. With the real estate client, I was assigned to only one cycle. Bigatin kc.. Hahaha...

In addition, I was also able to draft the FS and ITR of these clients. It was tiring but I enjoyed my first busy season.. Can't wait for the next..

Boss anong Firm yan?

Guys, do you think belonging to the top 100 of CPAR Preboard has a better chance of being employed in audit firms, especially Big4? Thank you!

Thank you! Plano ko pa naman na if ever I won't get hired in SGV, sa IL ako mag-aapply kasi baka mas madali mkapasok. It's the other way around pala. Hehe. Salamat.

To answer the question, I think it's VARIOUS clusters. If you'll use the client look up tool, you'll see MNCs served by SGV both Philippine office counterparts as well as some nearby Asian country offices. From Assurance, Advisory, Tax and TASI, meron yan.
To some extent, meron din remote testing, puro scanned copies lang .

From personal experience, I had this IA Outsourcing engagement wherein some docs from Scotland were forwarded to the local IA Department of a BPO company in the Philippines for audit purposes.

As to reporting to Foreigners, I already personally (face-to-face) reported and directly interacted with a Chinese Manager from Singapore and Greek Manager from Chicago and reported through conference calls and/or emails to Singapore, US and South Korea. A Korean Manager from the client is gonna be my next manager probably for two weeks starting this Monday!

    Thanks KID=1412
