Nag-relayout pala ang Centris. Sumikip kanina dun sa mga stalls dahil nilipat sila from the big parking lot. At parang kumonti mga sellers. Wala ngang masyadong flowering vines.

Apart from a mulberry plant, eto nabili ko, isang Lipstick plant, galing daw Quezon. Php250 ang benta pero dahil last na, binibigay ng Php200. Nagkatawaran hanggang umabot Php175.

Hopefully magiging maganda ito sa hanging basket - with flowers of course.

@ PlantChaser Welcome back to Pinas.
Nice site you recommended. The pics were adorable. I liked the idea of the fireplace area... the makeshift sitting places made of stones and some wire rack and stone tablet. The sight of weather-beaten Adirondack chairs w/ that makeshift stone-table make me dream of a very small minimalist house but with plenty of windows that can look out to a garden, with plenty of inspiring projects to offer, like that of the ones in the link you posted.

@ sridjar I think the 1st pic is a kind of Ficus variety.

May lamok din pala diyan miss kim? Saan sila pumupunta kapag winter?

    I peeked at your blog...
Does application of foliar fertilizer work on all kinds of plants?

I checked it out, too BlackDove.
Is it just me or is something preventing comments for everyone else?

    RE: your fish emulsion fertilizer.
Are the molasses readily available locally? The thought of the odor in the first few weeks is daunting. LOL!

The stones and wire rack look easy and very affordable.

This is another blog I follow with DIY ideas. Meron din naka feature na garden sofa. Aliw din but much harder to make I think. Dun na lang ako sa una.

    never mind lamok.

  9. #4889
Love the flowers, Ms. Kim. Wish I can grow flowers like the ones you and Alfonso have but I'm not familiar with their care needs.

Thank you for sharing the links PlantChaser. I like diy garden photos. Inspiring. Maganda nga yung sofa-rock.

And sharing a dish garden I'm so happy about coz the plants are looking healthy. Don't know the names though except for the Zephyranthes which I'm hoping would flower this year.

Dancing Ladies for potting. Not familiar with orchids so I hope someone can give me tips in proper potting. Tnx.

I think so. But you know, there is a great deal of debate regarding the efficacy of foliar application, some even saying it's overrated and a waste of money. Personally, I don't do much of it.
    Thanx for dropping by.

Thanx for dropping by and the heads up on the commenting section. I already made a workaround.

Yes, you can buy molasses locally. Health supplements stores like Healthy Options have them, but they're expensive. Here's where I bought cheap molasses.

Silly me, akala ko kasi walang lamok sa Canada.
Don't birds migrate to places with warmer climes during winter? Can't say the same though for mosquitoes .

Oncidiums / Dancing Ladies are best with tree fern stomp discards or just put it on a fern tre trunk.

Hi sridjar. Actually, bili ni misis ito. Php 40. Hindi ko ito alam. Ang tawag daw dito sa kanila (Ilocos) ay "Muras". Maliliit lang ang bunga. Maasim, pero tumatamis pag nahinog. Yung puno nito, pwedeng lumaki.

    hello peeps!

i have a little L shape garden, sa ngayon wala pang nakalagay na garden soil/plants. I'm considering to landscape the small area on my own, DIY ba, ang kaso I don't know kung anong tawag sa mga plants na gusto ko.

basically ayaw ko ng masusukal na halaman, gusto ko yung nati-trim para hindi makalat.

just imagine yung L-shaped garden ko, ang width lang ng paglalagyan ng halaman is kasing lapad lang ng hollow blocks, at yung lalim is kasing taas lang din ng hollow blocks. that short portion of letter L is fronting the house and the other longer side is along the lanai area.
