Junmar Fajardo againts SBC. Thanks to Coolenz/Coolcat for uploading the videos. Fajardo moves like a young Pau Gasol.

No surprise dahil he is 6'10 at mukhang malaki talaga ang potential to become the next dominant big man sa PBA.Medyo RAW pa nga lang dahil kulang sa exposure sa mas malaking tournament ,pero tingnan natin what will happen sa ABL.

Going back to the draft sa palagay ko hindi lang si Junmar ang aabangan diyan na big man.If you are watching the D-League mayroon kang mapapansin na mga big men na malamang makasama sa draft next year.

1)Sanvictores (6ft 8inches) - looks promising. This is one to watch out for next year.

Iyong skills niya is really good.Ready na ito for the pros.

Marami ring iba pang big men na mukhang magpa-draft na by next year.

Kaya kinakarma eh.

About Junmar, I watched his game against Ateneo last week. He's got moves and a good footwork. If he and Greg applied for the draft at the same time, I'll choose him any day.

Fajardo ready for PBA, says coach

University of Cebu Webmasters coach Roehl Gomez has a definite answer when asked if Junmar Fajardo is ready for the Philippine Basketball Association.

“Pwede na,” said Gomez, a former sharpshooter who plied his trade with Alaska and Pop Cola in the professional league.

Fajardo played his last game for the Webmasters on Monday, a loss to the San Bed Red Lions in the Philippine Collegiate Champions League battle for third.

But before entering the draft for Asia’s first play-for-pay basketball organization, the 6-foot-10 standout will be honing his skills with ASEAN Basketball League expansion team San Miguel Beermen Philippines when the team kicks off its campaign in January next year.

Gomez, who coached Fajardo throughout his collegiate career, said that Fajardo has improved through the years and he only has to be used to playing against big men in the next level, something that he will surely get playing in the eight-team ABL field.

Luckily for Fajardo, he was able to face quality big men in an international event after UC epresented the Philippines in the Summer Universiade in Shenzhen, China earlier this year.

The Webmasters lost all their games, but Gomez said that Fajardo gained valuable experience because of the tournament after facing bigger opponents from Russia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Japan and New Zealand.

Hindi mababayaran ‘yun,” said Gomez.

Ateneo coach Norman Black has seen the improvement of Fajardo himself. A highly-regarded coach for big men, Black now coaches Greg Slaughter, a former University of the Visayas player who had numerous battles with Fajardo in the Cebu collegiate leagues.

“Fajardo is a very good player. I’ve been coaching against him for the fourth time and he has played well every game that we’ve played against him,” said Black after beating UC by 47 points during the PCCL semifinals opener.

The only question now is when Fajardo will join the PBA.

I'm not saying na ayaw nya magnational team or SMC pero sayang talent mo kung di mapapagsilbihan yung Pinas.

as for junmar, i've got high hopes for this young man. hopefully, he absorbs all the training and knowledge he is getting now and translate it to someday helping the philippine cause. at sana, ma-develop o mapalakas pa iyong legs at tuhod para iwas injury. mukhang medyo fragile ang lower limbs niya kasi

Pwede naman magpost ng hindi nakabold

To answer your statement, wag mo kumpara yun pagkuha ni MVP kay Williams at Reyes. They're playing in the league already. In case of Japeth, muntik na siyang maban sa league because of his action for not playing on his team while in Fajardo's case, wala pa siya sa league eh namimili na ng team ng gusto niyang puntahan.

Wala ngang nilalabag na batas ang issue dito but what if:

    1. This 2012, Powerade gets the number 1 pick. As much as Powerade wants to get Junmar, wala silang magagawa kasi Junmar "belongs" to SMC. Hindi tuloy sumali sa draft si Fajardo.

    2. Fastforward 2013. Alaska gets the number 1 pick. Junmar is already a property of SMC.

    3. Leapfrog to 2014. Meralco gets the number 1 pick. Asa ka pa.

Junmar will only join the draft if an SMC team gets the number 1 overall pick.

Based on this, kitang-kita naman na ang mga aalma dito ay ang:

    1. mga team owners na hindi pwede kumuha kay Junmar just because he was already "sold" to SMC by Don Ramon Fernandez.

    2. mga fans who want to see a new giant dominate the PBA.
