Boyet bida sa soap nina Piolo at Jericho

Padre de Pamilya ang final title ng teleserye na gagawin ni Christopher de Leon sa ABS-CBN.

Co-stars ni Boyet sa bagong TV series ng Kapamilya sina Jericho Rosales at Piolo Pascual.

Sa pagkakaalam ko, Sa Ngalan ng Ama ang original title ng drama series pero pinalitan dahil sa pamagat ng mini serye ni Nora Aunor sa TV5, ang Sa Ngalan ng Ina.

Kasali rin si Boyet sa cast ng Sa Ngalan ng Ina pero hindi ito magkakaroon ng conflict sa Padre de Pamilya dahil isang buwan lang ang itatakbo ng mini serye nila ni Nora.

Malapit nang magsimula ang taping ng Padre de Pamilya at ito ang dahilan kaya hindi muna tatanggap ng ibang project si Boyet. Magko-concentrate siya sa teleserye na gustung-gusto niya ang kuwento.

Piolo at Jericho magpapagalingan

Malapit nang magbalik-primetime sina Piolo Pascual at Jericho Rosales dahil magsasama ang dalawa sa teleseryeng Padre de Pamilya. Makakasama nina Piolo at Jericho sa nasabing serye sina Christopher de Leon, Maricar Reyes, Rafael Rosell, at Denise Laurel.

Masayang-masaya sina Piolo at Jericho nang malaman na sila ang gaganap sa lead role para sa nasabing project. “Noong pinresenta sa akin ’yung istorya, I was shocked doon sa twist kumbaga. We’re not supposed to tell pero sobrang napatanga ako sa kuwento. Ako mismo nadala,” pahayag ni Piolo.

“We’re gonna be working on a very good project. It’s exciting, something to look forward to,” pahayag naman ni Jericho.

Piolo Pascual was quick to say that there would be no issue of rivalry or billing as he works with Jericho Rosales for the first time in a teleserye, Padre de Pamilya. “Hindi naman [issue ang billing]. We’re just so excited because we really wanted to work together ever since. We came to a point na kami mismo susulat ng pelikula namin. So it’s a blessing to finally do a show with Jericho, talagang malaki yung paghanga ko sa kanya bilang tao,” said Piolo in an interview with ABS-CBN reporters right after the story con of Padre de Pamilya last September 23.

Not only are they two of the most sought-after leading men in showbiz, but they’re also applauded for their remarkable acting skills. Piolo added, however, that it wouldn’t be the first for him to be compared with Jericho in terms of their craft. “Nag-tie kami one time as Best Actor (during the 23rd PMPC Star Awards for Movies in 2007). Pinaghatian namin yung trophy (laughs). At the end of the day, it’s all about bringing out the best in you and not just about being a better actor [than your fellow co-stars].”

Piolo further shared that he was actually moved to tears when the story of Padre De Pamilya was first presented to him. He has never done such a controversial role before that he ended up having sleepless nights because of it. “When it was presented to me, umiyak ako. I was shocked dun sa twist, which we’re not supposed to tell yet. Sa sobrang napatanga ako sa kwento, ako mismo nadala. I had sleepless nights kasi sobrang natatakot ako. Hindi birong mag-invest ka sa isang proyekto, na alam mong real emotions yung pagdadaanan ng bawat character, so nakaka-stress.”

But at the same time, Piolo is very happy to be part of a quality project that would engage the audience’s interest. “That’s the whole point of the soap, to come up with something unique, something that will set us apart. It’s a privilege to do something so big, something na alam naming may matutunan kaming lessons about life in general. Hindi lang siya typical love story or soap na napapanood mo, kundi kami mismo bilang actor dapat handa kami sa gagawin naming roles.”

Jericho Rosales says he is not competing with Piolo Pascual in their upcoming teleserye

Jericho Rosales is very excited about his next teleserye, Padre de Pamilya because he will star with Piolo Pascual and Christopher de Leon. Echo is ecstatic about his role because it is out of his comfort zone. However, he clarified that he will not be the antagonist in the show. “Lahat kasi ng characters don sa show namin, lahat may flaws. It just so happened na ‘yung character ko ang may pinakamaraming angst,” he explained. “Parang it’s a different role so I really need to prepare, kailangan kong ihanda ang sarili ko sa role na makikita nila everyday.”

Jericho added that his character as well as the story are things viewers will look forward to. “Maraming kapupulutan ng aral ang gagampanan kong role.”

Padre de Pamilya will also mark Jericho’s and Piolo’s reunion in a project and their first time to do a soap opera. They previously worked together in the sitcoms ‘D Hunks and Bora. “First time kong makakasama si PJ (Piolo) sa soap. Matagal na matagal ko nang pangarap ‘yon na magkasama kaming dalawa, tapos kasama pa namin si Sir Boyet de leon so, wow!” Other actors included in the upcoming teleserye are Maricar Reyes, Rafael Rosell, and Denise Laurel.

Since he and Piolo are highly-respected actors, Jericho was asked if he is ready to be compared with Piolo. “Hindi ko inisip ‘yon,” Echo replied quickly. “I don’t want to go there. I’m excited kasi alam ko na pareho kaming gigil ni PJ na magkasama sa trabaho at pareho kaming excited.”

He continued that instead of paying attention to issues like outdoing Piolo, Echo would rather look forward to the result of their taping days. “’Di ko iniintindi ‘yung mga ganong bagay (competition), gusto ko ngang tanggalin. Tinatanggal ko ‘yun sa sarili ko ‘yung mga kumparahan,” related Echo.

Instead of proving as to who is the better actor, Jericho said that he is more focused on working together well with the entire team. “Hindi ko iniintindi ‘yung pinagkukumpara kami kasi pag andun na ako sa set, team player ako. ‘Yun ‘yung tini-train ko sa sarili ko. In a lot of ways I’m a leader, in a lot of ways team-player din ako, so pagdating sa ganitong mga bagay, kailangan matuto kang maging team-player. The goal is not to outshine, ‘pag-upstage o makipag-compete, ganyan. Do your best so you will get the best results.”

The actor, who just celebrated his birthday last September 22, revealed that just like his previous birthdays, he went surfing on the beach. He said that he was with his family and friends and they just had a simple gathering.

May Christopher pa Paulo Avelino inihilera agad kina Piolo at Jericho

Bongga nga agad ang project ni Paulo Avelino sa Kapamilya Network kaya talagang hindi niya pala matanggihan.

Bukod sa paglabas niya sa 100 Days to Heaven, ang susunod niyang serye ay kasama agad niya sina Piolo Pascual and Jericho Rosales with Christopher de Leon sa primetime series na Sa Ngalan ng Ama.

Yup, actually ayon sa source, Sa Ngalan ng Ina pala ang original title nito. Kaya lang naunahan daw ng TV5 sa mini series ni Nora Aunor.

Say ni Tita Dolor Guevarra, manager ng beteranang aktres, hindi nito natanggihan ang magandang project na sinasabi niyang biggest project for 2011 ng Kapamilya Network.

Kuwento kasi ni Tita Dolor, mauunang gawin ng TV5 ang project ni Lorna Tolentino and Alice Dixson na Glamorosa. So, matatagalan pa siyang (Susan) maghihintay. Eh ang original plan pala, after ng Babaeng Hampaslupa, may susunod agad siyang project. Eh ang director din daw ng LT/Alice project si Eric Quizon na director din ng project supposedly ni Manang Inday. “So maghihintay siya. Saka talagang maganda ‘yun project ng Dos,” susog ni Tita Dolor.
