Erich Gonzales has finished shooting her scenes with Mario Maurer in Bangkok, Thailand.
The Thai heartthrob revealed that their last shooting day for the movie was held last June 19.
On that day, Mario comforted the staff of the movie who were emotional as they bid farewell. He posted his photo with this caption: “last day for movie I wanna say thx u to all my filipino team don't cry we will see u soon love u.”
Through his official Twitter account (@ohohmario), Mario also shared a photo of him with Erich.
He also provided this caption: “Don't forget to support me and erich gonzales for our movie "suddenly it's magic" good bye friend.”
Erich spent around two weeks in Bangkok to shoot her scenes with her leading man. The Star Magic actress is scheduled to arrive in the Philippines this Sunday, June 24.
Titled Suddenly It’s Magic, this movie is directed by Rory Quintos and produced by Star Cinema.
Aside from shooting scenes in Bangkok, the love team partners also shot for several days in Ilocos.
Mario is best known for his films Love of Siam and Crazy Little Thing Called Love.
In Suddenly It’s Magic, he is cast as a Thai superstar who goes to the Philippines to escape from his frantic lifestyle. He then meets a romantically jaded pastry chef portrayed by Erich.

It’s not every day that you see the most beautiful faces in the showbiz industry but the YES! 100 Most Beautiful Stars, is an exception. Last July 2, the annual gathering of celebrities took place at the Richmonde Hotel in Eastwood City.
Erich Gonzales is one of the 31 stars included in the 2012 edition of YES! Magazine's 100 Most Beautiful Stars.
“I am very thankful and very happy to be a part of YES! 100 Most Beautiful Stars. If I'm not mistaken pang 3rd ko na po ‘to. Under primetime category,” said a grateful Erich during the media launch of the said special issue.
This marks the third that the Kapamilya actress earned a coveted spot in this year’s illustrious list. With her dusky skin and sweet smile, Erich is an actress who exemplifies Pinay beauty. The young ABS-CBN star feels humbled and honored by this recognition. Erich is known for her popular Kapamilya teleseryes (such as Katorse) that made her qualify for the Primetime category.
To date, Erich is working on Suddenly It's Magic, a Star Cinema movie with Thai actor Mario Maurer. The heartthrob is familiar to most Filipinos as a student named P’Shone in Crazy Little Thing Called Love.
PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) asked Erich to describe her experience working with Thai heartthrob Mario Maurer.
Erich revealed, “At first talaga siyempre ‘yon cultural differences di ba? But when I got to know him wala talaga ako masabi sa batang ‘yon, sobrang bait talaga."
She added: “He is very fun to work with. Napaka bait talaga, napaka ano niya kid at heart, very playful. Lahat kami, pati Thai actors okay kami sa set.”
Does he take care of you on the set? How?
"Yes! Dahil ‘nung nag shoot siya dito, sa Ilocos kami kasama ‘yon team niya nagrerequest siya ng mga food. Binibigay ko naman. Sa Bangkok naman nagdala siya ng extra chair for me kasi pinahiram ko rin siya while he was here."
Erich also revealed that she has met Mario’s girlfriend, Gubgib (Sumontip Leuangthai), who is a famous actress in Thailand. Gubgib frequently visited the set during their shooting in Thailand.
“I met his girlfriend. Nag visit siya sa set. They’ve been together for nine years. She would ask me what food I’d like to eat, then pagbalik niya may dala siyang food for everyone,” narrates Erich.
Since Mario is in a 9-year relationship with his Thai girlfriend, is Erich afraid that people won’t buy their love team in their movie?
Erich pointed out: “For me po, ang audience natin ngayon they are very open. As long as maganda ‘yong story, maganda ‘yong pag gawa ng proyekto. I know they’ll support it.”
This movie was shot mainly in Ilocos and in Bangkok, Thailand. How was it like shooting in Thailand?
Erich recalled: “The only time I go to Bangkok, Thailand is for work but now kahit work siya, I was able to see ‘yong magagandang lugar doon, natikman ko ‘yong masasarap na pagkain. So ‘di ko naisip na work talaga. ‘Yon mga nakasama ko, nakasama ko na sila sa teleserye sila Direk Rory [Quintos], it’s fun! Sobrang close lahat!”
Erich previously revealed that she is dating a non-showbiz guy. When asked about their current status, the Kapamilya actress merely said: “Okay naman po ako, I am very happy with what’s going on sa buhay ko. Hindi ko pa po boyfriend, I’ll let you know po.”

MANILA, Philippines -- Actress Erich Gonzales and her "Corazon: Ang Unang Aswang" director Richard Somes are set to reunite for a new horror movie.
In an interview, Gonzales said she will start to shoot the horror film after finishing the movie "Suddenly It's Magic" with Thai actor Mario Maurer.
"Gagawa ako ng indie movie with direk Richard Somes ang direktor ko po sa 'Corazon.' This is for CInema One," Gonzales said.
The actress also announced that she is slated to do a new teleserye, adding that she misses TV. Her last television series was "Maria La Del Barrio" with Enchong Dee.
"Ako din po siyempre gusto ko gagawa ng project 'yung hindi palagi natin nakikita na usual so something different naman po. Hindi ang puro sweet o pakilig-kilig may storya po," said Gonzales, who refused to confirm if it will be a sexy project.
In the interview, Gonzales also admitted that she's now happy with a non-showbiz guy although she refused to reveal his identity.
"Basta masaya ako sobrang inspired and yon. Tao po siya, hindi po siya alien," she joked. "Basta po sa takdang panahon, hindi niyo po kilala non-showbiz. Hindi na kailangang pag-usapan kasi hindi siya showbiz."
Erich met Mario Maurer's girlfriend

MANILA, Philippines -- "Gone are the days na pag love team, kailangan magka-gustuhan at magka-develop-an," said actress Erich Gonzales of her latest onscreen partner Thai heartthrob Mario Maurer.
In fact, she and Maurer's long-time girlfriend, Thai actress Gubgib Sumontip, have become friends over the course of the filming for her big screen team-up with the Thai actor, according to Gonzales.
"Na-meet ko po kasi 'yung girlfriend niya (Maurer) doon," Gonzales said of Sumontip, who would visit the set of "Suddenly It's Magic," which was partly filmed in Thailand.
"I asked Mario kung free 'yung girlfriend niya, which is also an artista doon, na kung free siya, bisita siya, and she was super nice. Sobrang nice talaga. Nagdala siya ng Japanese food for all of us," Gonzales said on Wednesday.
Even as filming in Thailand wrapped up, the couple did not forget to invite her to a party in their native city, the "Katorse" star recalled.
"Nung last shooting day, dahil una siyang (Maurer) natapos, siya at 'yung girlfriend niya in-invite ako dahil may party sila. Sayang, dahil may trabaho pa ako dito (Philippines). Kung wala, makiki-hang out ako with them," Gonzales said.
While her schedule is swamped with professional engagements, the young actress said she intends to make time for the couple, who have told her of their plan to visit Palawan.
"They want to go to Palawan. Sabi ko, 'Sabihin niyo kung kailan niyo gusto pumunta. I can arrange everything for you guys.' I'll make time for them syempre," Gonzales said.
Now with only one shooting day left for "Magic," the Star Circle Quest alumnus said she is grateful to have fostered a good relationship with Maurer.
"I can say na nung time na nagsama kami, hindi lang siya sa trabaho talaga," she said.
Directed by Rory Quintos under Star Cinema, "Suddenly It's Magic" is expected to hit theaters nationwide later this year.
