R&B Newcomer The Weeknd Gets Praises From Drake

Rapper Drake may be The Weeknd’s biggest fan. Confirming the R&B newcomer will play an sizeable role on his forthcoming album, Take Care, Drake insist he’s one of the “greatest.”

"He's one of the greatest artists I've ever heard, and he's on my album a lot,” Drake tells Billboard. “We really collaborated a lot on this album. Not only did he inspire me to get out there and try and sing better onstage, but he inspired me just writing-wise, music-wise, just to better my product."

Drake continued: "I'm just proud, I'm proud of him. He works really hard. He's just an incredible person. He's become a really close friend to me."

The Weeknd, real name Abel Tesfay, caught the attention of millions after releasing his mixtape, House of Balloons, back in March (2011). The 21-year-old, also from Ontario, Canada has been able to capture fans attention with his diverse lyrical content and sultry voice on songs like “The Morning” and “Wicked Games.”

This record is beastly. Rico Love is on such a roll. While Mel doesn’t flex her real vocal prowess here, the understated tone, and emotion expressed is flawless and compelling.

STOP WHATEVER YOU ARE DOING AND LISTEN!

This has got to be one of the best songs I have heard all year!!!

Check-out the gloriously spectacular lead single,Wild Heart, from upcoming superstar Sabi‘s debut album titled, Anticipating. Tame this wild heart of mine, it’s gonna get me in trouble, Sabi growls over a luscious dub-steppy beat. The song itself is an absolutely flawless mid-tempo romper that reminds me of Inside Out by Britney Spears mixed with the vocal stylings of Rihanna. I didn’t really know the Sab-Sister had it in her, especially after that 20 second excuse for a verse on The Holy Spearit‘s, (Drop Dead) Beautiful. Quite frankly though, I am pleasantly surprised. Girl can seriously emote! Produced by Dream Machine, Wild Heart is ear-candy from the get-go and relies on glitchy mid-tempo synths, stabby drums, and shining vocals to drive the passion behind the crying confession. It’s heartfelt. It’s sexy. And I can’t get enough!

I’m excited to see how the song performs at radio and on the Billboard charts!

I’m rooting for you girl and now I’m totally excited for your debut album! I smell FIYAH!
