Cassie on Her Music Comeback: 'Feels Like My Time Is Now'
Is Cassie staging a major comeback? The model/singer seems to think so, insisting her career has been keeping her busy.
"I have been crazy busy, back in the studio getting my album done. Lots of new editorial shoots coming out," she tells Status Magazine in their August issue.
But with the long delay surrounding her new album 'Electro Love,' the follow-up to her 2006 self-titled debut effort, which boasted the hit single “Me & U,” is it too late? With three failed singles in the last 3 years, Cassie still believes she can get back to her glory days, insisting she knows people loves her music.
"Really been blessed lately - feels like my time is now,” she adds. “I'm a whole new version of myself, and I love it, so I know the people who really love my music will too... I couldn't be happier."
Can Cassie make a music comeback?

NEW MUSIC: CHRIS BROWN – BOY IN DETENTION (MIXTAPE)
Chris Brown continues to show his versatility with the release of his first hip-hop mixtape “Boy in Detention.” The 21-track giveaway features Wiz Khalifa, Big K.R.I.T., Tyga, Swizz Beatz, and a rapping Justin Bieber, plus production from J.U.S.T.I.C.E. Michelle Williams Skeptical About New Album Release Date
Michelle Williams is currently in the lab working on her fourth solo studio album but the former Destiny’s Child singer is currently unclear when the new project will be released to fans.
“I am working on it now and doing the recordings for it,” Williams told The Celebrity Café. “There are so many artists coming out on that label, so I’m not exactly sure when it’s going to come out, but we’re expecting to have the official news about the album coming out soon.”
When the album does get the all clear, fans should expect inspiration and dancing: “The sound and themes that I’m going for are inspiration and some hope that still makes people dance and think positive of situations in the world,” she says. “It seems that everything going on now is so heartbreaking. I just want to remind people that we still have lives to live and purpose to fulfill.”
Nevertheless, Williams will still continue to bank. She will head back on the road to tour in a play as well as delve into more acting.
“I was touring in a play, What My Husband Doesn’t Know, earlier this year so we’re going to pick that back up and be on the road for seven more weeks,” she says. “I also plan to do a lot more acting and more music.”

HILSON POPS CHAMPAGNE IN ATLANTA
Keri Hilson returned home to Atlanta during the latest stop on Lil Wayne’s “I Am Still Music” tour. While in the ATL over the weekend, the blonde bombshell hosted the Moët Rose Lounge at The Mansion on Peachtree.
The 28-year-old singer is planning to shoot two more videos off her latest album No Boys Allowed before moving forward with work for her third album. Which, she claims she has a title for already.
“After ‘Lose Control,’ I’d love to release ‘All the Boys,’ ‘Buyou,’ ‘Beautiful Mistake’… ‘Hustler,’” she told Billboard. “We just have to narrow it down and shoot a video for the one we think people will love.”
“We’re proud of the fact that we have so many options on my albums for singles, but for the next one I really want people to get the concept of the album. I think some of the singles that we’ve chosen so far don’t quite encapsulate the album title and theme, so I want to release a song that makes it a little easier to understand. I straddle the fence between getting the concept out and just having a simple, great, successful song.”

Rihanna Finalizing Sixth Studio Album, Says Producer
Even though she is still releasing singles from her latest album Loud, Rihanna is planning to drop her sixth studio album soon, maybe even later this year. In a recent interview with MTV’s Mixtape Daily, one of the project’s producers says the forthcoming set is closing soon, which would continue Rihanna’s chronicle in releasing an album every year since being signed by Jay-Z to Def Jam.
"From what I understand, she is closing the album up now, and we did two records for her that she really, really loved and I'm really excited about them as well," producer-singer-songwriter Verse Simmonds told MTV. "They are records that we wrote and produced as the Jugganauts."
Simmonds and his partner Sham "Sak Pase" Joseph, better known as the Jugganauts, are responsible for Rihanna’s controversial hit "Man Down," and now they are hoping Rihanna and her camp will like more of their work.
"99.999 percent" confident that one of the tracks they produce will make the cut, Simmonds says don’t expect another record like “Man Down,” insisting their always evolving.
"Nah, definitely not, because we always try to constantly — as producers, as artists — we try to always come with something different, a whole new sound," he said without elaborating on what that new record would sound like.
