New Music: Alicia Keys – ‘New Day’



Alicia Keys is coming back with a bang this summer. The Grammy-winning superstar celebrates life on “New Day,” the first release off her upcoming fifth album, due later this year. The triumphant anthem sounds like it was produced by her husband Swizz Beatz.

“Whether I rise or fall, I’m gonna give it my all/ Party people say, ‘Ay, it’s a new day!’” sings Alicia over the drum-heavy instrumental.

The 31-year-old singer can’t wait to share her music with her fans. “I’ve come to this place that the album is about to be ready and I feel just so crazy excited,” she said. “It’s like I’m a different person. I’m a new person. Everything is new.”

It's not a banger but did anyone like Motivation on the first listen? No. It's another grower, sounds urban and fresh. Ice could be better than Motivation.

New Music: Ashanti feat. Meek Mill & French Montana – No One Greater

Ashanti has delivered a surprise for the BET Awards weekend. The R&B chanteuse recruits two of the hottest young rap stars in the game, Meek Mill & French Montana, for “No One Greater.” An Irv Gotti produced cut, which acts as the second single off her forthcoming album Braveheart, which may or may not come out this year, as the dates have been coming and going. Most recently Amazon updated the release date to early 2013, but we assume Ashanti and her new Written Entertainment label are still working on the right marketing and don’t want to stress any date just yet.
