[TRANS][NEWS] 2NE1 To Make Exciting Comeback On July 5.. Title Song, "I LOVE YOU"

4-member girl group 2NE1, has announced the date of their comeback and their title song, amidst the release of teaser images showcasing the transformation of each member's looks.

2NE1's agency, YG Entertainment, uploaded a picture on its blog, YG Life, announcing the date "2012 0705," and showing the shocking teaser image for member Sandara Park. An official from the agency confirmed that 2NE1 would indeed be making their comeback on the said date.

Prior to this, YG Entertainment, has already revealed to Star News, that 2NE1's comeback to the local music industry would be on July. This is the first time that 2NE1 would be releasing their new song in Korea, a year after they did their promotions for their second mini album last year.

Aside from the confirmation of 2NE1's comeback date, the title track for their new album was also revealed. On the 26th, Park Bom's teaser image was revealed to the public, along with an English phrase, "I LOVE YOU," which drew curiosity from the netizens. A YGE official confirmed to Star News that "I LOVE YOU" is the title song from 2NE1's soon-to-be-released album.

Sandara Park shaves head for new album

She may no longer be based in the Philippines, but former Philippine television host Sandara Park still shows her krung-krung (crazy and funny) side.

Park, now known as Park Dara, revealed a startling hairdo to promote a new album by her hip-hop-pop girl group 2NE1, Korean news site Chosun reported.

Chosun cited a photo posted on YG Entertainment's blog showing Park with the new hairdo and the caption "2012 0705," a reference to the July 5 launch date of the album.

"The photo shows Park in a leopard-print dress and flashy accessories, but the hairdo was her most remarkable attribute, with one side featuring long, wavy locks and the other side completely shaved," Chosun said.

It added Park has attracted attention before for her bold hairstyles.

Chosun said 2NE1 is scheduled to play in Seoul on July 28 and 29, and will go to six other countries for their "New Evolution" tour.

Park was born in Busan, South Korea, but her family moved to the Philippines when she was 10.

She started her showbiz career in the Philippines and gained popularity.

Park returned to South Korea with her family in 2007, after no more projects were offered to her.

YG Entertainment then announced Park signed a contract with them. 2NE1 debuted in May 2009. –KG, GMA News
