2NE1:
- 2NE1 was originally going to be called just "21" but YG Ent. changed it because there was already a singer by that name.
- All four members were originally supposed to debut as solo artists.
- Teddy produced "Lollipop", "Fire", and "I Don't Care". "Lollipop" was inspired in one night and was immediately sent over to Korea after Teddy finished it before G-Dragon proceeded to write the lyrics to it. He has written and produced many of 2NE1's songs.
- Seung Ri's solo song, "Strong Baby", from Big Bang's 2nd album, "Remember", was originally produced and written for 2NE1.
Park Bom:
- Park Bom was rejected by YG the first time she auditioned in 2002. Three years after auditioning many times she finally became a trainee and trained for four years.
- She lived in the U.S. for ten years.
- Bom (봄) means spring in Korean.
Dara:
- Dara's family moved to the Philippines because of her Dad's job.
- Before debuting in Korea, Dara was an active star in the Phillipines.
- Dara is fluent in Tagalog.
- Dara had a cameo role in "The Return of Iljimae" as Rie.
- Dara was supposed to debut in a three-member group with fellow member Park Bom, and Goo Hye Sun [female lead from Boys Over Flowers].
- Dara is afraid of dogs.
- Dara's younger brother is Cheondung of the popular boy group, MBLAQ.
CL:
- CL was featured in YMGA's "What" where she wrote her own verse.
- CL was featured on the intro of Big Bang's album Hot Issue.
- For 2NE1's debut stage, CL was supposed to kick her chair at the end but the director opposed it.
- CL is the initials of Chaerin Lee. Also 'ciel' in French means 'sky'.
- The DJ in CL's performance with Uhm Jung Hwa (MBC Music Core) is Shaun Evaristo. He was Big Bang's choreographer who came back to help with 2NE1's debut choreography.
- CL spent a portion of her childhood in Japan, and traveled a lot because of her father's job.
- CL was a JYP Trainee before she came to YG.
Minzy:
- Minzy is the granddaughter of dancer and actress Gong Ok Jin.
- In 5th grade, Minzy was contacted by a YG official to join YG Ent.
- Minzy and May Doni were supposed to debut in Japan as a duo but May Doni left and YG planned to debut Minzy as a solo artist.
- Minzy and Sandara are exceptionally close.
- Minzy went to the same dance academy, Millyohrae Joy Dance Academy&Plug in Music Academy, as SeungRi of Big Bang, DBSK's Yun Ho and Kara's Gu Hara.
- Minzy has won numerous awards: Various Dancing Contest's Youngest Experienced Award Winner; 2004 Millyohrae Academy Award (Dance?); 2004 Gwangju's Kkijjang Contest Dance Award
