hi, question lang. How is the Champions League different from the Europa League? Are the lower ranked teams supposed to be the ones who play in Europa?

IMHO_lang: Champions League is the most prestigious football club competition in Europe, Europa League is distant second. Champions League involves the top football clubs in Europe (with respect to their domestic league positions). In Europa League, the clubs qualify according to domestic league perfomances (next to those who qualify for Champions League) and domestic cup competitions.

Champs league, mga top 2-3 clubs from the different countries(syempre dapat member sila ng UEFA) .

Europa league, na dating EURO cup, mga participants nun mga runner-ups ng mga nakasali sa champions league, o kaya yung club na may pinakamababang yellow/red card. O kapag nanalo sa domestic cup(FA cup, Copa del Rey, Coppa Italia, etc). Pati yung mga second runner-up sa mga group stages ng CL, nakakapasok pa rin sa Europa league.

In a sense, parang pampalubag-loob na lang yung Europa league.

kapag natalo pa ang Arsenal sa understrength Udinese ewan ko na lang, and damn the champions path, I know the Champions League are for "champions" but allowing an easier path to the group stages for the minor league champs only makes the group stages more boring, dapat yung lumang draw na lang, if they are really champs they could at least prove it by beating a non-champ club from one of the major leagues
