its hard especially to those, who grew up in the 90s and 2000s.

I know there were many great actors before my generation,

a few (classics) Ive seen really, but Ill try to cover as further as I can and as Ive seen in dvd, cinema and cable,

    10. Dustin Hoffman- Too many

    9. Tom Cruise- Jerry Maguire

    8. Russel Crowe- A Beautiful Mind, Gladiator

    7. Liam Neeson- Schrindler's List

    6. Jack Nicholson- too many to mention

    5. Nicolas Cage- too many to mention

    4. Tom Hanks- Forrest Gump, Cast Away

    3. Robin Williams- Goodwill Hunting, What Dreams may Come

    2. Anthony Hopkins-
Silence of the Lambs, Meet Joe Black

    1. Leonardo Di Caprio-
Blood Diamond, Inception, Gangs of New York, this guy deserves an Academy.

Promising: Andrew Garfield- the best performance for me, as a superhero character.

Brando and De Niro are considered the greatest actors of their generation. Brando has left an amazing legacy with very few leaks in his filmography (even if his personal life is questionable) while De Niro is nothing short of amazing but has done some terrible films over the last 10+ years.

Of course other usual suspects of amazing actors include Sean Penn just an amazing actor with so much range all around. And some classic actors like Peter O'Toole, Montgomery Clift, and James Stewart. are just too iconic to ignore.

Johnny Depp could have been one of the great actors of our generation but he's wasting his talent away working with Tim Burton.

Some Young-ish Actors Hitting some great strides

    Christian Bale - Batman/American Psycho/Empire of the Sun/The Fighter
Brad Pitt - Last year was a breakout year for him. It's amazing to think that since he's been a heatthrob for so long but Tree of Life and Moneyball were class A Performances.

The X-Men First Class Duo also have a ton of potential
James McAvoy - Wanted shows he can be comedic, and Atonement shows he can be romantic. He just needs more roles to sink his teeth in
Michael Fassbender - Wow! I first saw his work with Hunger and Fish Tank some few years ago. He was amazing then and last year was a great year for him with Jane Eyre, Dangerous Methods, First Class, and Shame. And he strikes gold again in Promethous.

how could I forget sean penn and joaquin phoenix on my top 10 list? anyways, I also love colin firth, jeff bridges, geoffrey rush, ryan gosling, anthony hopkins, morgan freeman, russell crowe, james mcavoy, and denzel washington. tom cruise (not really a fan) kinda impressed me in A Few Good Men, one of my fave movies of all time.

I find brad pitt, george clooney, leonardo di caprio, and matt damon's acting just pretty normal that's why they won't be gracing my top 20 list.

btw, andrew garfield was really impressive in The Amazing Spiderman.
