Beijing (CNN) -- At least two cars of a high-speed bullet train fell off a bridge late Saturday after a derailment in eastern China's Zhejiang province, state-run news agency Xinhua reported, citing firefighting sources.

There were no immediate details about casualties and rescuers rushed to the scene.

The train was traveling from the provincial capital of Hangzhou to the city of Wenzhou, Xinhua reported.

Beijing (CNN) -- Forty-one passengers are feared dead in a bus fire in central China, state media reported Friday.

Six people including the driver were rescued and hospitalized, Sun Jun, deputy director of the local government information office, told CNN.

The number of fatalities is an initial report, according to state-run CCTV.

"The fire was so big that some bodies were burned beyond recognition -- and the death toll is being tallied," Sun said.

It was unclear what caused the fire and an investigation is under way.

The bus was on a highway in Xinyang city in Henan province.

    Wow, new thread!

Sobrang napagod sila kasi nung pumunta kami last year. Late autumn o winter ulit.

Haven't tried this pero I doubt pwede.

kaya d.i.y! stay at hostel instead of hotel. Take the train instead of taxi.

Kaya ko naman mag-isa mag-DIY, after all, nakapag-solo trip na ko twice, and nakapunta na ko sa Beijing once. Mahirap lang for me mag-DIY alone kasi wala ako ka-share ng cost. Ganun pa rin, I'd still pay for the whole room.

Ganun daw nila narating yung Great Wall. Adventure ang ginawa ng mga lola.

    @ ginji24

Although wala naman akong alam na nahuhuli, up to Php 10,000 lang pwede mo ilabas ng bansa by law. More than that, kailangan ng authorization from BSP.

BPI's rates are okay.

Or, as commoner said, sa Binondo may palitan peso to yuan.

So kailangan single room, lumalaki gastos ko

Nakiutang muna sila sakin ng yuan dahil closed pa ang bank when we started our day tour.

McDo, KFC. I'm sure may western restos sa Oriental Mall and APM mall.

In Beijing almost all establishments (except bars and clubs) close by 10PM.

Wangfujing might be close to it but it doesn't have the shops that are popular (H&M, Uniqlo, etc).

Tsaka even if the area where you are staying has a lot of western restos, most of the time you will be somewhere else rin. The tourist spots are spread out in the city.

What you can do is make your itinerary in such a way that you'll end up in a place with many restaurants by dinner time. Xidan, Sanlitun, Wangfujing all have wide variety of dining options. There's also a mall in Xizhimen and Dongzhimen stations.
